I respect and appreciate most of you here. I can honestly say that, for better or for worse, I value what you guys have to say, but I have to ask you all a question:
Where the hell did this passive kiss ass approach to the dev team become the agenda?
I'm all for dealing with them in the proper manner, but I'm seeing posts about how we should be nice, how we should be constructive, how we should be anything but irate. For those of you who don't know, we've been there, a couple times. We tried that way. It didn't work. I'm talking this same exact conversation that you're having now.
I'm all for keeping the conversation in a tone that will keep them here and talking, but they actually have to do some talking already. The only time they come here is to say they screwed up or they postponing us AGAIN!!! Until they're ready to talk NOTHING will change that. And if they post something that they're doing for us, you can start the damned timer to see how long until it gets cancelled or postponed too.
Be mean.
Be demanding.
Be their nightmare by shoving their track record in their face.
Be the most outspoken profession in the game so maybe some day we'll actually get what we've been waiting for longer than any other profession in this game.
Don't be a pansy.
Don't be a patsy.
Don't be something they can ignore for another 2 years.
Or screw it. Hit FD and resign yourself to never smuggling EVER!

Honestly - I don't think it matters.
Yell at the devs...kiss the devs' butt...whine to the devs...curse the devs out...act like the devs are our buddies.
None of it will ever "work". They don't care what we want. They have never listened to us before, and they never will. It doesn't matter how we act. They have their own plans for this game - and they are going to go on with those plans regardless of what the paying customers want.

hmmm yes, but it's not a very smuggler thing to do, to just give up even after 2 years of nothing

Oh, I'm not giving up...I'm still going to b*tch and yell at the devs every chance I get. It's basically the only reason I'm still paying my $15 a month right now. Sadly, this is the most fun I've gotten from this game in quite some time.

The daunting thing is to try to get a company NOT to think with it's wallet but with it's humanity. I think the problem goeswaaaaaaay above Tiggs and TH and it's called the "bottomline".
What they fail to see is that by catering to the majority and ignoring the minority they are killing the game. When only one or two classes has any content the rest will leave.
It is our DUTY to tell them this in any manner. We are paying customers. We need to SAY- HEY! We want this!and when we don't get it- we need to leave the table. That'sOUR bottomline.
I for one am going to speak up. LOUDLY, if need be.That might get me banned- but I'm not afraid of that because I'm a PAYING customer and I can stop paying when ever I want- and ifI can't get what I want then that is exactly what is going to happen.
We all need to be like that. Even then, we might not get what we want- but then we wouldn't be PAYING for not getting what we want.

im all for speaking up 'LOUDLY' im all for getting banned fore a good cause. doesn't it occur to the dev's that smuggler is potentially another bounty hunter. if we had the amount of content they had. if we had our missions, if we could smuggle, Im sure more people would want to be smuggler then bounty hunter and then we'd be the majority, but alas that puts us in a bad place, to be able to get what we want we need to already have it, so speaking up loudly is the only way I can see us having a remote chance of getting it

If one wishes to be truelly righteous and try to bring about a change the developers will notice and work with, the only thing that will mean anything is whether or not you will continue paying them to treat you this way.
No reason to alienate other communities or insult others. Leave your feedback, say why you are leaving and do just that.

I cancelled my account a couple of months ago, and came back last week. I guess I'm still holding on to the small chance that we'll get our revamp. and also I dont think mass smuggler suicide is going to work on this. infact it could be doing the inverse. all the new players joining are all becoming jedi's or BH's or commando's or whatever. not many people are becoming smugglers, because why would they want to really. it currently has nothing going for it. pretty soon they'll be very few smugglers left to speak out. for every smuggler that leaves 2 jedi's take his/her place. we're becoming more and more of a minority
