Thread: Unable to donate to buy faction

My master smuggler is currently holding 18k faction, in buying faction - on this revamp I thought the smugglers 'artificial' cap had been removed, so I would be able to buy fron the recruiter up to 120k faction as colonel.
The option to 'donate' doesnt appear to me, I remember using this on TC,
Any ideas whats up?

The artificial cap was removed. But the rank cap is still very much in place. If you've reached your rank cap, and therefor can't gain anymore FP, then the option to donate goes away.
It will return when you can gain more FP, either by gaining rank or by purchasing items that take away from your current FP pool.

Its also no longer listed as a donation, but under the conversation choice of Helping out the recruiter's bank account.

Not sure if this is what you are asking but the "buy FP" option is now "I'd like to discuss an equitable trade"

Same thing is happening with me. I'm not capped, yet I have none of those options when talking to recruiter.

Are you on leave? While on leave, you can't do anything but quit the faction or return to combatant.

Ive tried on leave, as a combatant and as a special forces member. Nothing makes a difference. I just rebooted and I'm gonna relog and see if anything changes.

Do you have positive points with the opposing faction? If so, how many?
(btw: Sorry...I missed the part about you're being a Colonel in your opening post.)
If you don't have positive FP with the opposing faction (and even if you do), the best I can tellyou is to /bug the sh!t out of it until it gets fixed...

I submitted a ticket also. I do have positive opposing faction but I didn't know that mattered?

i have +1000 opposing faction, but I too wasnt aware that mattered, at least it didnt used to....

Mm I think we found the problem. I seem to remember someone saying that having +1000 and more of opposing faction was screwing up the faction buying.
