I'm looking to possibly start an alt and go smuggler.


What would the forum suggest is a good comliment to Smuggler now, I know Smuggler/Pistoleer/TKA used to be popular but what about post CU ?



They say that Jedi represent the best the Galaxy has to offer, they are smart, noble, wise, honourable and selfless, an example to us all. Jedi, they say, are like Eagles.
They also say that Bounty Hunters are dishonourable, cowardly killers with no respect for life or honour, who strike from ambush and exist only to kill. We are, they say, like Weasels.
Bounty Hunters are Weasels, Jedi are Eagles ? I can live with that, Eagles may soar but Weasels don't get sucked into Skyhopper jet intakes.

I think pistoleer 44xx Master Smuggler Master Rifleman works quite nicely. Root from 70m away with my cybernetic armr

I've got a Master Smuggler/Master Commando with Pistoleer 4/4/0/4, a Master Smuggler/TKM with 4/0/0/4 Pistoleer (My favorite to run and gun without armor.. feels more star warsy) and a Master Smuggler/Master Shipwright with Meditate IV for the wounds from piloting.

Don't need medic to use 1200ish heal Stim D's. The way I look at it is... if I am getting torn up bad enough that I am constantly having to heal, I need to mez and run (solo) or have a tank do their job and get the aggro off me (group play).

i do fine as ms, mpisoleer, bh0040. lot of anoying attacks that help me turn the tide in pvp.
tonight this jedi had gotten away in theed, and right before he left i concussion shot, then my mate KD, and we DB ftw

The norm for Stim D's I am seeing on our server is around 1050-1150 (The highest I have are like 1243). I'm not a doc or BE so can't attest to how they are being crafted, but I am assuming they are made with pre-cu components with the low amount I am being sold. I generally buy them as fast as I see them to store for later use as if my guess is right, then they won't be around forever. The 250pt ones I have been seeing are Stim B's or converted stim's. They are a life saver when N-K decides he wants to avoid a root like mad and you have all the hate

You have to be at a certain Character Level to use 'em. Oh yea, if you get a drink called Ruby Bliel, you can use stims every 30 seconds for a total healing capacity of 2400 a minute. I wouldn't recommend medical skills unless you like filling a support role

I'm very happy with Rifles 4200 and Carbines 4440 support.


You get great Acc mods, the awesome SniperShot, Cover, ChargeShot, LegShot, an array of crowd controlling shots and effective use of the three ranged variants.

After few respecs I came to this final template... and its doing great job, both PvE and PvP:


Master rifleman + Master smuggler + Pistoleer 0401 + FStrees


Amasing specials and 2 root attacks at your disposal... come handy when there are more enemies rushing at you
