I'll see if I can find the thread, but the word is there will be ways of modifying ships "illegally". Considering smugglers are at the heart of such "activities" I anly assumed it would be smugglers doing such modifications. I mean Han solo modified his ship to smuggle goods. Has anyone heard such information?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Well according to Haden, the Lucasarts rep, wecould fly the YT-1300 just like Han Solo.
Don't expect anything more than that for now at launch.

Isn't any pilot allowed to?

Does anyone else realise how stupid that sounds? (Not Caylin, I mean Haden's comment). Thats like saying a Master Pistoller could hold and look at a DE10 but not fire it.
I really do not get SOE's reluctance to do anything positive for this profession..

I read somewhere that they were going to offer special items in loot drops. These items were to be used to enhance your ship. I am not sure if that is a direct answer to the question of slicing ships. However it is an answer to the question of being able to enhance your ship. Whether or not if the devs decide to include slicing as a performance enhancement to the ship has never been addressed. However I do wonder if they will allow us to slice the looted items that you can place in your ship as an enhancement.

I don't know about us slicing ships, but the "Skill synergy" seems pretty cool, it'd be awesome to see something like that implemented.
But still, and increase in "slice-able" items would be a great thing for our profession.

I'm not sure if you'd be able to slice the "whole" ship per say. But I know there are many looted parts for ships you can get to modify your current ship. I would think you could or might be able to slice those b4 you add them to your ship.
Actually, would kinda be nice. It would open up a new market for our Slice Monkey Skills.
