It was coming.
And almost done
And its really a space profession.
And only the dialogue was missing.
And the Player bounties.
HAHAHHAHAHA!

Well, better delete the board - we are officially dead - thanks for nothing.

Link? Info where this came from? anything?

Nevermind I found it in the "why we need smuggler mission" thread.

JFreeman wrote:
I can say that we can't really give any specifics about our plans, other than we plan to stop promising a smuggler revamp that we never seem to get around to delivering.

It's very unlikely we'd ever do a full profession revamp for smugglers anyway. Instead we're focusing on incremental changes, enhancements, updates.

The Combat Upgrade itself was a change to the Smuggler profession, and the recent slicing changes was another. We're still planning on reviewing the spices: probably not a full fledges "spice revamp", but rather fixes and upgrades to improve the line.

We agree that you need Smuggling Missions. So, you don't need to convince us of that!

In the past, our approach to this has been to design with an eye toward content-driven delivery mechanisms. Now I think we've come to the realization that creating hand-crafted content requires more resources than we can devote to a single profession. So we need a plan-B.

In the same way that Bounty Hunters have a systems-driven source of activity, we've got to look at ways of systemically delivering "smuggler missions" to you.

But I still can't give any details as to when we could deliver this or how it might work.

Enhancing the Smuggler profession is high on our list of priorities.

Hm, let me see.
Freeman saying there won't be a revamp, maybe.
And him going on with what sounds pretty much like - they are starting to think about something small only now.

But hey you people go on and take this as a good sign, if you like.

Read "Smuggling missions and why we need them" in this forum.

He's referring to the JFreeman's posts. Check devtracker or the post in this forum about why we need smuggling missions.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Guys, Tiggs told us months ago there wasn't going to be a revamp... But for it to be in pieces... Now, JFreeman is saying they are working primarily on getting SMUGGLING..... I don't agree with what the dev's are doing, and I don't like to defend them, but I don't like breeding ignorance.

This is what you read - or what you want to read.
Even if: It doesn'T sound like they are on the way - does it.
But with the speed of this DEV team i think we can expect them soon.

Don'T kid yourself.
It's over.

No where was there any new information in that thread. Except that he stated that their primary concern with smugglers is getting missions... Not revamping spice, not revamping our combat abilities, not revamping the revamped slicing, but smuggling... Now whether or not this is just another lie, I don't know... Do I personaly beleive they will deliver soon? H#ll no... But its not very new information. I personaly found it more hopeful than Tiggs' comment about no new content until "bugs" are fixed... Nowhere, did they EVER say they were abandoning smuggling missions.

That doesn't mean the revamp is dead - the devs told us a while time ago that there wouldn't be a revamp, but rather that our profession would get fixes over several publishes instead of one publish dedicated soley to smugglers.

It's just a matter of semantics: we're still getting love, just not all at one time for whatever reason. No need for anyone to get their panties in a bind here.

Actually they told us the REVAMP won'T be in one publish, but in more than one.

Again - this post 18 months ago - okay.

I personally do not care for the fact that JFreeman mentioned a "Plan B" approach.
