Sometimes I like to go to Mos Eisly cause it's n00b central now and slice their n00b weapons for free and at the same time educate them about slicing. It's great for them and it's actually really rewarding I suggest everyone try it. It's a great thing to do when you get really frustrated about things like our lack of revamp of Blackmen telling blatent lies.

Heh, speaking of which, I was running through Mos Eisley a couple of weeks ago, I step out into noob city!

I swear no less than 30 new players all sat outside the starport and no telling how many along the perimeter of the city. It was an amusing if not throwback scenario to the days whenI myselffirst logged into SWGand asked all the same questions these newer players were asking. I sliced, tipped cashed, trained and generally had the best time lending whatever service I could while making my way through a sea of green droids. Quite the experience.

not to sound elitist...but..

perhaps an "adopt a newb" foundation is in order?

Elitists generally want to keep the status quo and don't want to help new players up onto an equal footing—that's about as far from elitist as you can get.

*Aye, to me, thequip of "adopting a newb" might be misconstrued as elitismdue to aperceived superiority of veterans over newer players.

I'm in only if we get a membership card and blazer badge

Seriously tho, I've got some friends that are getting into the 14-day trial, and I've told them that once they get in, I'll slice their weapons and help them level as much as I can.

Since Mos Eisley is my favorite town in the game (I practically live in the cantina) I spend a lot of time slicing weapons and giving out spice to everyone there, which usually are new people. It's pretty fun and I know I loved help like that when I was new.

This is a great idea!!! Once again a reason why I never want to drop smuggler. The community on this board is so much better then anywhere else. I never visit Bloodfin forums. They are full of immature idiots comparing the size of their....guns. I can't stand it there. Here, despite the constant blows to the smuggler profession, or maybe because of them, everyone here is alot nicer and more laid back about everything. We all get angered sometimes but as a whole its great here.

We should all make an effort to spend some time helping new people each week. Might even take my WS and pass out some D18's and DLT20's. That being said though, I do not help people that beg for stuff.

And to Planeseeker, Death please...no no I mean Cake.

And I must ask....Do you have a flag?

Delste...
Don't take all the newb players... leave some for me!
I passed you in the Coronet starport late last night near the ticket terms. Would normally have said "Hi!" but I was not feeling social due to the crappy lag I was experiencing!

I've got a bit more grinding to do before I complete level IV slicing, but I'm looking forward to it immensly. It might not pay the greatest but having slicing done will allow for some nice player interaction and roleplay possibility. I'm not in this profession to get rich, heck if I was I would have gone to med-school and become a doctor.
