I was hopping for it but never really believed we would have it at this point!

In the new update by Callandryl:

Q: Does the Smuggler's ability to avoid detection in contraband scans extend to avoiding being detected as an opposing faction member when scanned "On Leave"?
A: Yes. The smuggler’s ability preempts all other checks. Also, even if the smuggler’s ability fails, his hidden faction will not always be outed. Similarly, even if a Jedi fails their own mind trick avoidance check, there is a large chance their status as Jedi will still not be noticed.


This, ladies and gentlemen, is good news!

This is starting to smell like Smuggling to me!

It is not specified that it will work on peoples we are grouped with, but since it is the same skill, not a new one, no reason not to!

So granted it is not quite the hide faction we were talking about in other threads. It is not a new skill allowing us to smuggle trough PvP disabled or enabled players. Maybe we will see this in our revamp, who know. But it is still another good step for us.

I assumed that was true for our group skill too, but Calandryll say he is checking on that right now. Good news, that mean we will have a firm answer on that.

for sure. i have come back after a 3 month layoff and after reading the forums i can't tell what is in the game, coming to the game or just a dream. very confusing!

We are still waiting for that answer about groups. I keep refreshing the Dev tracker hehehe
