Nomore surprises. No more chances for some guy (not Lucas) to add in how he think it happend. Start to finish, Ep1-6, this is how it happend. So is this the end of EU? God I hope so. There is more EU content than movie content in this game.
Next question. Is EU bad?Not intentionally. Some of it is pretty ok. But, It takes away from the mistique.
Last Question. Is EU bad for SWG. YES. YES. YES! Very bad. Why? Because it distracts and takes away. Apperently evey charicter ever metioned in star warswas a big deal. Take biggs for example. He was lukes friend. And now his family is a quest. Why? Chewbaca was a bigger charicter than Biggs. But chewy doesn't even speak (and he's 5'8" in the game). All I wanted was a game where I could if only for a little while escaped to a galaxy far, far, away with a bigevil interdicting empire,8 or 9 planets with at least one city that haswith a star wars feel and rebelion despretly trying exist. But insteadI got two factionswhere the supposed weak sidekicks the crap out of the strong side,11 planets where 10 are large ghost townswith empty cities and loads of stuff i never heard of. So why is EU the problem? Because this isn't SWG. It's SWEUG.I don't care about bigg's family and there back story. He was in one frickin movie. But they spent tons of time makin his quest and fixing his quest instead of building a game true to the movies. The game is trying to encompase too much and it's killing SWG. ROTW was a step in the right direction but more needs to be done. NO MORE EU until the GSW is set right and jedi balance is achived.
/sorry it was eating me up inside.
Smugglers rule, Jedi sit outside the corset starport and duel. Yeahbalance!

After being VERY satisfied with the CU, I feel there is only one main issue left: balancing Jedi.
There are too many of them dominating PvP right now. I've had to quit my faction and hunt them just to have SOME feeling like I am setting this game straight.

Here's an idea for Jedi, make Jedi themselves similar to how Last Ditch works. The more Jedi there are, the weaker a single Jedi is. The fewer there are, the more powerful a single Jedi is. Just a thought.

Love the EU. Much of it is better than the original, much is considerably worse.
I'd rather the timeline move further INTO the EU so that Jedi would be just another profession, no more or less powerful than any other.

The best way to balance jedi is to kill the current system completely. No more jedi master levels or knight or dark jedi or padawan. He's how it should work based on the now complete saga. You can become force sensitve. This allows you a few extras in thegame. Most of them non combat. Combat assistance would be enhanced healing, runningand incap recovery. In game abilities would be mind trick to ward off scans and detect to feel disturbances in the force when Darth Vader enters a planet or to find other FS players. Lastly RP and fun stuff. Extra animations. Lots of em. Likelevetating a small metal ball like anican did in Ep. 2 or doing any of 14 differnt types of manevers likeforce flip in combat (does't do anything just looks cool). Now as for using your force powers. Once someone knows you areFS they can list you name on the bounty logs. At which point you are fair game. If you die no more FS. You will have to start the process all over again. Darth Vader will randomly land on planets and head straight for FS players. FS players will no longer be able touse starport terminals and will have to find aMP to fly them off world. Only smuggler MP's will suceed.Vaderwill kill FS playersin a very unique and cool way (like chop em in half). You see there aren't any jedi left to train jediat this point accept yoda. So you can have a light saber and be FS but you better keep it to your self.

Actually, this is similar to the way the games was "supposed" to work. Add Bobba Fett to the mix and you have the exact same concept. Alas, it never happened, and I doubt that it will now.

The Irony - Aside from the clone relics stuff and maybe a little bit here ant there. ROTW must be at least 80% EU content., if not more. Kashyyyk isnt in Ep III any more than a couple of minutes in a few intercut scenes.

To answer the subject line of this thread:
No. The EU is not over. There will be another 100 hours of Star Wars for the universe to be expanded on.
Lucas has confirmed a TV series... 100 episodes an hour a piece...

I LOVE Nicholas' idea!
Finite force at any time in the game. If there are 100 Jedi on-line they share that force. If there are 10 then each is 10 times as strong.
And THEN *drum roll*
As each week goes by the Galactic Force Pool dwindles.

Good Lord, every time I think I've read a thread that has to be the most God awful moronathon, something like this pops up.

it's an opinion post man. Don't take it so hard. You like think EU is great thats fine. I think EU should take a back seat to the movie content.
