With the upcoming changes to smuggler, I am sure many of us are wanting to get rid of our overflow of supplies. So I had an idea. On a coming weekend, for us to decide, I thought it might be fun if all the Eclipse Master Smugglers gathered at a storehouse I have on Rori, just near Narmle, or in every major city, and just did an all day free slicing blitz.
I am sure it would promote our customer base for the coming changes, as well as help us get rid of overstock. It's also something nice to do.
Not announcing it on our home forum, just here, to get feedback from our underworld. Let me know. Thanks.

Hmm free slicing you say? I'm going to need a lot of beer then.

Makes two of us, just thought it would be a nice thing to do. Start spreading word to other Eclipse smugglers to check this thread out please.

Not a bad idea andwhile Im not into free it might be good to do this (and yes for free)the day our new slicing skills go live as a way to promote the new system and spead good will to the masses.

I'm in, tho i'm not thrilled about playing tetris-slice in the new system
Besides... I STILL have stuff from the two full backpacks of knives and clams Mina bought ages ago
i'll have to find new things to smuggle in my droids tho

I never give anything away for free. However, I'll consider any slice that I give without a charge of credits to be repayable at some later time for some minor favor.
As long as no one else asks me to slice a crate of grenades. Blech.

I have seen some nice documents, but as of yet there is no indication when (or even if) the smuggler revamp will hit us. I will hang on to my trade tools a while longer...
Cynical? Heck yeah...

I've got a backpack full of AUKs...low on WUKs though. I may go in on this on Tarquinas but only for the AUK side....
May 5th for RotW is still a month and a half away and there's no real date for the Smuggler Revamp yet. Unfortunately, it's still possible for all of this to backfire like past history
My recommendation: exercise caution...maybe wait till the week or weekend before the Smuggler Revamp to do it

I like your idea N'Varra but most of us won't be doing it for xp.

And I do think we should do it for free, no favour late type of thing. They are doing us a favour. Helping us get rid of useless tools AND giving us xp.
I do think we should limit the item quantity per customer, maybe a max of ten per. That way they can get a suit of armour done and 1 weapon in a worst case scenario.
Anyway, open to further feedback. I just really thought it would be nice to do. Trust me, I am not the give it all away for free type. Think of it as marketing. We do this for free now. Later, we gouge them good.

I might be up for it. I have a lot of molecular clamps and stuff to use up. I don't mind free slicing to get rid of them, but we should promote everyone to tip if they like the slice
