I hate pilot so bad.
I can't fly worth crap, I can't finish missions in time. I'm only 1000 and I've failed the mission im on 8 times.
I'll never have a yt1300

I learned that you only need xp to complete the rest of tier 1.
So I went out and killed a buncha stuff and got through it... when I was able to get 1100 I got a buncha new components and now I enjoy flying.
I've been flying around Lok for the past few days and now am already on tier 3
So... don't give up hope, the falcon is still in reach.

what you need is a group and/or alot of patients.
If you think the tier one missions are bad wait till you get into the 3 and 4 tier stuff, nevermind ace.

I am in THAT same sucky boat. But I think it's because I haven't properly stocked the ship I bought 'cause the flying I've done with Wasodo has been superb.
Not only that...my freelance flying has made me want Tevin to stop flying for the Rebels and work up to his YT.
Freelancers can fly the Firespray, right?

Everybody can fly the Firespray, yeah. But it takes a real man to PVP in an Interceptor!

Waitaminute... I gotta be a Rebel to join the Alliance!?
SO- I can't be in the Alliance AND fly the YT!?
That don't seem right!?

You can be a rebel and fly a YT just you have to be a privateer pilot.
If you are a rebel alliance pilot, you do not get to fly the YT.
The freelance trainers are for three factions.. RSF, Corsec and Smugglers Alliance, neither affect what you can fly.

All I can say is, if you were on Lowca I'd do everything I could to help you. I mastered Pilot in about 4 or 5 weeks of the expansion, and it was a pain trying to find people to help me get it done, but I appreciated all the help I could get.
Unfortunately right now there's not much to do after getting master but it was fun getting it non-the-less, and I try my best to help out all of those other needy pilots.

I just failed my first mission since tier 1 :/ I'm 3322 though...
I still have no clue how to use droids... But the mission I failed sucked... I was on like my 6th wave of attacks and I had 6 cons on me at one time... I was scrambling like crazy to disable them... but they got my rear armor and my engine :/
And what the hell is up with /ethrust scrambling my engines and killing power to my ship!! Damnit. I get a special and try to use it and it backstabs me.

The neutral commands, capacitor to shield shunt, capacitor overload, and reactor overload should all help you alot Digi.
It's not TOO complicated to get your droid to work, just make sure you are using the highest level droid you are certified for, and grab you some unprogrammed chips. Right click on them, load in those programs, open your driod interface, load them in there and VOILA!
Reactor overload should help keep all of your components functioning and having enough power to do so, the capacitor overlaod should help make sure you ahve plenty of capacitor energy for shooting and for the capcitor shunt program, which drains energy from your weapons capacitor and puts that into shields to replenish them some.
