pistols are some of my favorite weapons, but im running out of skillpoints. im nearly a master smuggler, but im also pistoleer 1223, and bh xx1x. im wondering if i should forsake master smuggler so i could become master pistoleer, or completely drop BH so i could become a master smuggler and a master pistoleer. i do enjoy being a smuggler, so that will most likely stay.

ok the real question comes downm to this, should i give up any particular tree in pistoleer so i can get up tobh pistols 4, or should i drop all prerequisites for BH so i can become master pistoleer?

Well, what else do you want to do, other than Pistoleer, smuggler?

I'm Master Smuggler BH pistols 4 and Pistoleer 3/0/2/1. That template has never done me wrong. But in the end it all comes down to your playstyle.

i just want to be best i can be in combat. my style is to spam specials, and to snipe folks out (with a pistol how funny) when unbuffed. im not a pvper, but down the road that might be nice. im just wondering what people might suggest from experience.

Well I'd say that after the CURB you'll be...well...screwed.

I'd say that he is before the CURB too.

Ok, a few questions for the original poster:

Do you want to slice?

Do you want to be involved in spice dealing and other shifty things like 'smuggling' weapons and military equipment?

Do you ever want to hunt players as a Bounty Hunter - Jedi for now, possibly Smugglers later? Or just NPC bounty marks? Or neither?

Do you want to be able to use a DE-10?

Wait a second... why is he screwed?

The reason I ask is because I am coincidentally going this route myself. I have BH pistols because the speed and accuracy are much better. Also, I like the scatter over the DX2 and eyeshot is alright.

I have considered dropping BH just because I can't master Pistoleer, but I'm not sure if there is any REAL benefit to mastering Pistoleer aside from a pistol I can't afford anyway. The only negative I can see from BH is the fact it takes so many skill points to get there... I mean who really needs master marksman and a row of Scout?

see thats what im wondering about..what is more powerfull in the end?a master psitoleer or a semi pistoleer/bounty hunter? dropping smuggler is not an option for me, im just torn between bounty hunter pistols and the chance at master pistoleer. if i drop the prerequisites for BH, i have a bunch more skillpoints and i can then master pistoleer, and possibly do a little branching off into another profession. i guess in some ways ive made up my mind, and will drop bh. but i also wonder that if when i master ppistoleer, will i miss out o n some much needed power?

about the DE10... If I am not mistaken, the new weapons (DE10 and Berserker rifle) are already considered "balanced" and wont change much, if at all, with the CU. It may have changed since I heard that, someone correct me if I am wrong

thats godo to know i just sliced ma 7de's and got 516 unpupped and a 506 back up.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I thought that I read somewhere that the DE-10 was a "balanced weapon." I could be wrong though.

But then again, Jedi keep telling everyone that they're already balanced too.
