Just wondering what you guys are doing for bulk slicing for non-guild members?

Mine was 5k per slice they provide WUKs and/or AUKs

-or-

1 weapon/set of armor for every 25 sliced (my choice but they get the best 3 sliced sets per 25)

Too much,,,am I crazy (not uncommonly stated) or is this fair?

Thanks for the help

Well if we were side by side you would get more customers than I would.

[Cost of materials] + [1k x Skill Level] + 100creds / %Increase.
an Additional 1k cred for every infraction of behavior.

For non-roleplayers it requires 500 creds just to hear my rate.

Bulk slices get a free smile.

I charge 5k no matter what the amount of items is. But recently I've been slicing for armoursmiths and weaponsmiths for free, and they provide the AUK / WUKs. This is because I need the xp for force senses. I need to slice 26000 more items to get the 2 trees I want, so doing it this way, I don't need to worry about making survival knives and WUKs.

I do not agree with this as a valid reason to charge NOTHING to a WS and AS.

Some have stated that 5k was too much to me so i responded back with 10k and asked them how they felt about that...hehe their response was 5k is a good price

I always tell the smiths they need to provide WUKs &/or AUKs if more than 25

Just wanted to see if I was on the same page

Thanks Again fellas!

Lets use an example:

20 DXR-6b Disrupter Rifles, Imperial Stocked (400,000cr per)

5 30+ Slices (assuming an even spread, 20 point differential)

2.5 will be damage slices (2dmg - 3speed)

Selling Price for damage sliced - 3,000,000cr

Selling Price for Speed sliced - 1,500,000cr

(I'm using the numbers from a rather famous Naritus Wookiee Weaponsmith)

20 DXR-6bs Represent an 8,000,000cr end-profit investment.

5 weapons worth a total of 10,500,000cr

20 weapons worth 300,000-1,000,000 (depending on slice value)

**20 slices at 5,000cr per - 100,000cr

How about another example

250 80/80/40 Stun Composite pieces (40,000cr Helm/BP/Pants, 25,000cr Biceps/Bracers/Boots/Gloves)

125 Encumberance Slices - approx75 30+ Slices (assuming an even spread, 30 point differential)

- approximately 5 suits of High Encumbrance Sliced Armor

125 Effectiveness Slices - approx 20 30+ Slices (assuming an even spread, 25 point differential)

- approximately 40 pieces of armor which are 90pct effectiveness, or about 2 suits of armor.

- approximately 60 pieces of armor which are 85pct effectiveness or more, or about 2 additional suits of armor

Selling Price for a Suit of 90pct Effectiveness armor - 3,000,000cr

Selling Price for a Suit of 85pct+ Effectiveness armor - 1,000,000cr

Selling Price for a Suit of High Encumberance Armor (approx 30+) - 500,000cr

Remainer Sells for its normal, unsliced price.

Armorsmith has about 9 special suits of armor, with a total value of 10,500,000cr

- plus a remaining169 pieces of armor that are sold for regular, unsliced value.

250 slices at 5,000cr per - 1,000,000cr

Keep in mind, the difference between its unsliced value and its sliced value is the value a Smuggler generates - in case you didn't realize it. That's not anything the armorsmith or weaponsmith did.

I usaly just slice for the same WS, I charge him 2k per weapon + WUK's. I also get to keep anything I want in addition to the 4 realy nice kyrat pistols he gave me. I did about 250 weapons for someone else and he paid me 3k per + WUK's. This is still how i make most of my money, I dont make alot but enough to keep me happy, and having a WS that is happy with my work is worth a million in my book.

For roleplayers, your rate cannot possibly be told, though, as IMHO thecharacterprobablydoesn't know the percentage of the slice or skill level, only the player does. Thecharacter would only know that the gun could now fire quicker or that there is more energy in a shot or that armor is lighter or better padded
Altough I like charging for even talking money, I would do so for roleplayers too, but let them haggle with me a bit
