Thread: The depths of the force says cut that wire...

With all the force sensitivities coming out for other professions, wouldn't it be nice if a smuggler could use the force in slicing to "know" what wire to cut? No more need for clamps. Plus, force luck could add a better chance for the randomness to produce good slices. Granted this would lead to a lot of FS smugglers running around but I have a feeling we're going to have that anyway.

I think a better and more likely solution would be to have the Force Sensative skill "Jedi Luck" in crease the odds of a higher percentage slice.

Actually, thats what I was meaning with the force luck comment, but I still think an FS could "know" what wire to cut. Really all it does is save us money or resources on clamps.

Oh God yes please! Something else to grind so I can be of some value in this game! It's not enough that I have to complete twelve boxes worth of crafting and pistol xp just to get 5 or 6 useful abilities, now you want me to jump through a bunch of quest hoops so that I can become force sensitive too! Awesome, can't wait! We all know what will happen with this stuff - you'll be useless as a slicer unless your a force sensitive slicer! I can hear the shout spam in Theed now...

Sorry to flame. It' a fun idea but I would really like to see the devs make our current ability set more useful before they add more barriers to being considered a good slicer.

Trust me, I'd rather them fix what we have first. Its just a thought considering all the FS stuff they've added for the crafting and combat classes. But then that would mean the dev would actually have to pay attention to us <sarcasm>and we couldn't have that could we?</sarcasm>

Well what I mean is I dont think that the skill should eliminate our need for clamps.

I think we should still need clamps... but with FS Luck we could be more lilely (using a clamp) to get 31% over 18% etc etc etc

How many Jedi do you know that have ANY bit of Smuggler in their templetes? Enhancing you say, destroying I say, IMHO

Maybe my hatred for Jedi in this game is speaking out now? Could be.

Anything that is put b4the Smuggler revamp(Jedi revamp), I'm not a fan of..... They had enough time and resources to do 3 re-vamps for the Jedi, and for almost a year now, they cannot give GM enough time to even respond to a thread HE started.

I'm just a fed up OLD Smuggler......

I personally don't like many of the 'force sensitive' abilities.

Where is our persuasion skill? Where is our luck skill? It's absurd.

force sensitivity should have nothing to do with the smuggler profession
