it is important that you bring this to our attention and to everyone else's.

make a post on the main forum so everyone can read it. if people are aware, this person will become very unpopular and will ahve no busniess. i for one will not teach this person or do any sort of business with them now that i know.

i already have a list of people going.

I'm glad to say, this is a rare occurance.

I suppose it's honor amoung theives or something, but all the smugglers I've ever encountered have been fair in all dealings. Containers are the best example i can think of. I mean, they give us the containers, we open them and give them back, and 99% of the time, all the loot is still there! but it's that 1% that gets all the notice. I just hope i get my slicing done before they ruin our reps.
Sorry this happened to you.

This is also a warning to all those smugglers out there! Be honest to PC's...I know we are smugglers..but hey! theres good money in being honest!

Well as a Teras Kasi, I decided to duel a Smuggler. Well, I thought I had an easy fight. I was wrong...~Metteec

I was in the middle of slicing a guy's carbine when my internet went down... I waited 2.5 hours and it was still down when I went to bed, and the 'Net was down till about 6am I learned later.
I felt so bad about having this guy's carbine!
Fortuantely, I was able to e-mail hime, and finally give him his gun back, and I didn't charge him for the slice (29% speed no less!)

I'm sorry you got scammed, but I think most smugglers are safe.

I've only had 2 people ever ask how can I trust you. I simply responded saynig if I steal from you, report my actions to my PA and they'll ban me. That seems to work well... Afterall, I love my PA, and I don't scam.

It's a shame there are players out there doing this.

Thankfully i haven't seen anyone on Ahazi doing this yet. I expect there will be. Sorry to hear you had a problem with that smuggler.

Others put a great deal of trust into us Smugglers. We have to take their weapon and armour from them to slice it.
Imagine just buying that 150k composite armour suit and handing it off to a Smuggler, who then high tails it out.
How long would he last? Not very.

So when people ask me "How can i trust you?"
I reply honestly: "You can't. The choice is yours. Either you wish to run around with a locked container or you hand it over for me to open for you, it's no skin off my nose"

And i shall do the same with weapons and armour. I dislike liars, and don't feel that Smugglers are fully like that. Han Solo wasn't a liar. He has wit, charm, charisma, but certainly never lies.

"Trust me"

You know, she could end up with so much more cash if she were honest in her dealings. That's the dumb thing. Destroying your rep over a 10K gun is just downright stupidity (and if you haven't already, I would ABSOLUTELY go to your forum server and blast her name out as a scammer).

I've had instances where a person's weapon disappeared in my inventory (lesson: make sure they unequip the weapon before trading it to you) and had to log out and back in. I made sure to tell the person that I will be right back and not to worry because I wasn't going to risk my trustworthiness and reputation over a DL44 pistol. (I came back and he handed me 11 more guns to do! :smileyvery-happy So, I could have pocketed 2 2.5K gun (tops) or received the boat load of cash he gave me on a slicing deal (he even tipped me extra for the job well done).

Don't give up on strange smugglers. 99.9% of us are honest.

Ya, dont give up on smugglers like that..just report the scammer so they are much less likely to be able to scam somebody else and as a way of discouraging new scammers who will find their cash flow destroyed along with their reputation.

all i got to say is never trust women. there the sly sneaky ones cause they look more innocent. trust the guys i say their more intelligent and know not to throw their reps. in the toilet. (please don't flame me for sounding sexist)

Even tho the last post was in fun there is some truth to it as I have discovered over the past several years that Scammers are more likley to use a female char to scam people with lol

This altho true does not mean you shouldnt trust female chars nor does it mean you should trust males just an observation ive made.

Sorry you got scamed. did you chek to see if it was invisable? reloging helps this. but if he/she ran off without trading then he/she most likely scamed ya. Not all smugglers are like that. we are smugglers not thiefs. well the majority of us I hope you get your gun back.

Arrg, another biznatch that ruins it for everyone. In cases like this BH should be able to PvP a character WITHOUT consent (thought that would be hard to implement) and get your gun back the good way, off her rotting corpse.

Generally if you play a female character and your actually a guy, your doing to take advantage of the perverts (common practice) or you have issues. Why else roleplay as a female if your not one? Since most (not all) are guys, be weary of the fairer sex.

Today on the Starsider server I got robbed by a smuggler named Sally-Gunner Inner Cirlce anyway I was in Tatooine with a new scout blaster I had jsut bought from Kane for 9,500 credits and the two normal slicers I go to were not on. As I was walking through Mos Entha I heard a yell for slicing weapons. She had a slicer title above her head and she said she was a lvl 4 slicer I felt ok she is lvl 4 slicer you don't get that way by stealing stuff well as soon as I gave her my blaster she turned tail and ran into the starport and caught a ship.

This is not a complaint to say all smugglers suck but this is to tell you that I will never use anothr smuggler other than the two I currently use because I do not want to get ripped off again.

we'll i feel sorry for you ut you shouldn't sterotype smugglers. i mean i am one and i've been honest in all my deals i do , even when the server rolled back and i ended up having a guys gun i went out of my way to find him and give it back. Why don't you jsut put down the person who stole your gun and spread thw rod that she's a thief. So nobody ever goes to her.
