Thread: How do smugglers turn a profit from selling faction?
I do sell faction every now and then at 100 cr/FP, but it's not often. Usually it's just somebody that needs the 200 points so they can join a side, somebody that needs the 5200 for flip flopping, or somebody that just wants to bio link their faction armor. The big faction point sales come into play for the people that are big into PvP and dropping bases... and most of those are in guilds with their own private smugglers.
If I sold more often, then I'd probably grind more FP's so I could make a little more off of it... but as little as I do sell it, I don't bother because it's really not worth the time unless you AFK macro. I did do a lot of FP grinding before I dropped TKM for MBH, but right now I'm making a killing off MBH loots so I don't bother grinding faction.
Yeah, as a rebel, I get 1250 per 100k + 250 from the cries bonus. That was without an entertainer buff as well... so a buff would probably give an extra 10%. It's definately cheaper to sell faction as a rebel, but I get far more people asking me for imp points than anything else. Go figure.
Whenever I get the random tell, it's usually somebody in a hurry... so I don't bother with a buff. I'm usually busy running BH missions as well, and when you're only fighting once every 20 minutes, an entertainer buff is sort of a waste. As per the faction point selling guide says, the cheapest way would be Colonel, entertainer buff, and make sure you talk to a recruiter on a planet that your side is winning on. Running around 24/7 as a combatant never hurts either... you get faction just from running around in enemy controlled territory. ![]()

They grind the faction (in space or on the ground) and sell it for pure profit.
but anyone can do that, we just have the ability to buy the FP
