Nothing indicates that such a change will be made however...
Who knows? Perhaps the "In Concept" doc will reveal a use for these mods when viewed in the light of "In Testing"? I know I wouldnt complain if they stuffed all the new smuggling concepts into the Underworldbranch and the proposed removal of the Spice branch ment a new unarmed combat branch with mirrored melee specials.
After all, read the description for Low Blow. Then imagine it donein melee. I walk funny in sympathy just thinking about that. Throw in our own knuckle-duster at xxx4? (none of this bladed junk- a real set of knuckles, flat and jaw-busting blunt) Sure, why not.
Not my favorite idea, mind you, but makes that line of Brawler a bit more sensical. Not to mention resurecting some of the old "barroom-brawler" feel we pre-CU tripple-threats enjoyed. Sometimes to get the job done, you've got to leave your sidearm at the door... but get within swingin' distance and that dont matter much. Nothing more underestimated than an "unarmed" being.

I was not arguing that fact, the exclamation of aggresion was directed at the mention of the removal of the brawler line. To which the rest of us left would highly disagree.

Sensical or not, it's a waste of SP IMHO.
That precious 15 sp just from the novice box could be used for elite profession boxes and put us up to par with the other players with templetes that have better skill mods in them (defensedefensedefense). Would definatly get us back into groups again.
Edit: Okay, lets pretend you are a TKM. Now the pistol requirement is useless. Either way, that's a whole tier just sitting there doing nothing.

Gimme those 15 SP and the world gets alot brighter...
Add Novice Commando
Add bh xxx2 or 2 sequential boxes of Commando that offer access to a decent AOE weapon (if any tier 2 boxes do)
