k, seen alot of people have been really concerned with ship costs and are afraid that youwill gouge us badlky for them. to prevent this from happening a) buy all your resources now, that way when JTL comes out the prices dont skyrocket. b) sell cheap, add just enough to what you paid for the resources on top to make a profit, that way if people buy in bulk form you 1) they are happy cause it was cheap and will probably shop from you again, 2) you still make a decen t amount of money. hope you guys pay attention to this, cause i am one of many players who does not roll in credits and i would still like to fly ships, without paying the 1 million i dont have for a ship. thanx aton

No reputable shipwright will charge you a million for a low or mid level ship.

At the high-end, though, there's simply too much resource and too much pickiness about stats to make that claim.

but do you at least get what i am trying to say? i mean the first few days, there will be a histeria for good ships and people might charge out the buttcheeks for them, just trying to get a few people to help out the not so rich people.

a tier 4 ship takes like 32k resources. at 10-12 CP for really good quality resources that is a price that STARTS at 320,000 credits just for the hull.... if you dont care about qaulity then the price can be dropped to start around 80k... jst depends on how badly you want that extra mass.

1 & 2 ships will be VERY cheap, as grinders pump them out to Master S/W.

I understand what you are saying about gouging, but remember that because the demand will be so great for the first week or so, shipwrights will have to charge more in order not to sell out of components. It's all about supply and demand. I myself will try not to charge too much, but if sales are through the roof I will have to raise my prices just to keep items in stock.

I don't think people will have problems finding reputable shipwrights after the first day or so. I plan to Master Shipwright in 3 hours (6.5 million resources on standby!) after logging in tomorrow. I've already set up the shop, bought the advertising droids, set up my factories and crafting stations. I can't imagine I'm the only one out there ... I'm sure there's at least 20-30 others per server in similar situation.

No doubt some will scalp people - just don't buy from them.

yea tier 1 wont be too bad but my tier 1 ships are 100k right now cause i didnt make them grinding. i made them as a master. if u want master level ships then come by my ship. my master level compoents go for 5k ea. so a fully loaded ship is abotu 150k and trust me when i say it will kick the a$$ of any starter ship

i plan to skip the y wing w. my z95... same amount of guns... .LOL

I don't plan to Sell really cheaply-- I have to make ends meet and avoid getting flooded with orders.

However, neither do i gouge. If someone needs a ship they can't afford, I'm willing to work out something with them. Credits aren't the only thing of value in this game. that said, i do expect I will be paid what my services are worth... and they're, frankly, worth quite a bit.

There will be people who will try ot rip people off, but most shipwrights will charge fair prices. On the other hand, anything above tier one ships needs a lot of resources, you arn't going to get much for free or cheap here, this stuff is expensive. If the DEVs wanted all ships to be cheap they would have lowered the resource requirements. They (I hope) have an idea of what the general economy is and (I hope) used that in their discussions of what to set the resource requirements.

But on the third hand, a chassis by itself sorta sits there, so I'm sure lots of people will be miffed when they learn they need everything when they want to get something better than the noob ship.
