Never mind, I tested and got the same result. After about 30 seconds it updates.

One cor has already posted about this problem to the devs, I'll head in there and make a post of my own.

I know it's not as convenient, but when you click on a resource before adding it, doesn't it show you the numbers of how good a match it is down in the lower right? Sure, it's a few extra clicks, but until they get it sorted out, I think it's easier to do that rather than add the item, then remove it again if it doesn't work right.

Here is an even better thing: if you happen to pull it off to craft anything, it takes like 30 seconds until after experimentation to update the screen with the new item stats. And believe me, it's not lag.

I feel raped in the rear.

To the poster before this: it doesn't update the bar nor the numbers.

Thanks for your help btw. I am so loaded. If they can't make a publish with 3 new features without screwing up 10 old ones, I'd say don't do any publishes at all. It already started right after the patch this afternoon when everyone's client crashed while loading....

Here is most of what I posted to them for those interested in what it looks like.

Unable to see the potential values of a given material in the crafting window prior to inserting them into the schematic slots.

A few few publishes back, a crafter was able to open a crafting tool, click on a resource in the upper left (inventory) window, and see both how far up into the green the bar next to the schematic slot (center window) would go. They could also see the potential for experimental value in the lower right. After 19, you had to load the material in the schematic slot for the bar next to it to show value, however you could still see the potential experimental values in the lower right.

After pub 20, you can only see values of anykind if you load the material into the slot.

So if you want to see the potential of a certain kind of steel, you have to load it into the hopper. Then if you have 5 other kinds of steel you might want to use, you have to unload the previous one, and load the next one. Now, if you are like me and have most of your best materials to craft with in your inventory and backpack, this creates some interesting new challanges.

Usually I have 50 items worth of material in my backpack, and another 50 in a container in my inventory. Prior to this issue, when I had the crafting tool open, I could review the potential of any resource in any container in my inventory by clicking in it in the inventory window (of the crafting session) and reviewing the potential in the lower right window. If I liked it, I'd load it.

Now I have to actually load the resource in before I can see the potential at all. If I load it from my backpack and decide I don't want to use it, I unload it, and it goes to my inventory instead of backpack. It won't send it back to my backpack. This was only a problem if I cancelled a crafting session before, now it will be anytime I load a resource from my backpack to see if I want to use it.

Here is the way it looks now when you click on a resource in your inventory in a crafting session
now

Here is the way it used to look when you clicked on a resource in your inventory in a crafting session
before issues started

after pub 19, the middle box stopped showing green/yellow/red or whatever until you loaded the resource, but you could still see the potential calculations in the lower right.

I had heard that experimentation results were not processing quickly and correctly either.... Meaning that the green bars weren't updating, or...?

It's all gone. And so am I.

Now, did the 'loading' in the lower right hand corner of your screen stay there indefinitely, or did it show up after a few seconds? I've just looked at your screenies, and I have to say - from every well-stocked shipwright on Ahazi -"Nyah Nyah Nyah, Eceulan kicks some taaaaailll......" (996 Cond / 1000 OQ FTW)

2 different things. I have added the "exp stats updating"-thing in my previous posting mid-thread.

I have postponed all crafting and restocking for the time being. It just isn't do-able right now (I am naming my items with the main stats in it, so go figure how this feature is hurting my crafting speed). And I just started to make a business with 4 mio earnings a day. Guess who is not gonna compensate me for this bs....

I posted this one for them as well.

Almost forgot,

I tested the unable to see stat increase in the crafting window after an experiements.

Opened session to start crafting a piece of armor, loaded resources, and went to experiment
Photo step one

Here I put 2 bars into armor experimentation, when it finished, the armor stat did not increase though the bars and % did update.
Photo step two

I then put 3 more bars into armor experimentation, when finished both the bars updated as well as the armor stat. Which I suspect is the total after both experiments.
Photo step three

I then put three more bars into hitpoints, when finished both parts of the window updated properly.

I ran the test again and had similar results.

So you can confirm if you sit there for 30 secs, it will update without further crafting?
