Thread: Is anyone else angered about the way the resource quality bar is working now ?
This has been broken since Publish 19. I submitted a bug and posted on the "In Live" forum.
I was looking forward to a fix in Publish 20. However, I observe that the problem has become worse. Not only does the "average bar" not work, but the calculated contribution no longer works a lot of the time--instead it display "Loading...".
While not a showstopper, it doesn't become a major time sink to work around.
I am also angered by not being able to see the average of the stats that I have chosen to be averaged and displayed on my resources from the Options window. Having the average of particular stats show on my resources greatly enhanced my ability to tell the resources apart.
Also, now the inventory details pane on the left doesn't show the correct number of resoruces - I had a stack of 30k or so petro chem that was showing as being at 1,067 in the details pane on the left. It showed 30k in the main window with the icon tho...
SOE is lucky I don't like the Warcraft universe, but X3 and Sid Meier's Civilization 4 ante portas (and Battlefield 2 is tempting), so don't count on my patience being infinite....
Yes, I had the same bug, too. A crate which was shown as 100000/100000, but it had far less.

I'm sorry, I have developed software professionally for almost 25 years and there is little excuse for these types of bugs showing up in live.SWG istwo years old and the gods only know how long in was in development before it went live. Over this much time, you'd think that the devs would have developed some semblance of an automated regression test bed that would prevent problems like this. TC should be limited to testing player experience and overall satisfaction, not functional and mechanical issues.
I am especially angered by this because I caught the first manifestations of this bug backthe day Publish 19 (not Publish 20, but Publish 19), and used /bug and the forums toreport it. Is it fixed? No--now it is worse! Worse than this, this is an aspect of the game that worked. They didn't even change anything in Publish 19 with regard to crafting, and it broke. What are these people doing? Do they sit around getting high and nite followed by binge coding sessions?
