Profession: Shipwright
- A KSE Firespray Schematic can no longer be used to reverse-engineer a zero-mass spaceship component. When a player's ship is launched, if there are any zero-mass components, their mass will default to a value of 50,000.
Crafting - During the experimentation phase of crafting, the object being crafted will now update its properties in a reasonable amount of time. Previously this took approximately 10 to 15 seconds and would make it appear as if your experimentation had no effect on the object.
- When the item count of a resource container changes, the examine information should change as well. The examine information for crafted objects and containers should update properly in the appropriate crafting windows.
- When using items in resource containers or surveying, the item count of the container should update properly if you changed servers or disconnected.

It's a good thing, to be bug fixing...
Although, it would be better thing to have some new spins and tweaks added to make this crafting profession a wee bit more in demand.

What exactly is a "reasonable amount of time" - it never seemed to take 10 - 15 seconds previously, it seemed to show the result almost instantaneously

Almost instantaneously is a reasonable amount of time...

This is a good thing--as you can see from my one post last week, I was starting to become very frustrated.
When is this supposed to go live?
Has anyone played with these fixes on TC? Might have to myself, but time is so limited.

the fix is working great on TC. A reasonable amount of time is almost instant now. so it is working great.

Yeah, just ran some tests and the stat update issue does seem to be resolved.

Now if they'd make Reactor Energy Drain get it's appropriate RE bonus,

Are the resource stats also updating in a timely manner now?
I'm talking about both the "quality" bars beside the resource slots, and the resource stats in inventory. I have to load a resource into the slot to see what the numbers are for it; this only applies to resources that were in my inventory when I logged in, resources that I've pulled from vendors work fine.

I still saw the problem with the quality bars and stats not updating until you've loaded and unloaded a certain resource. Once you load and unload one, you can click on that resource in the inventory box and it will show quality on both sections of the crafting window.

More in demand? I don't know the compositions of the other servers, but on Bloodfin there are very few full time SW's. I'm always busy with stocking my shop and answering tells and emails. I think the profession is great.

I wonder if well ever get any FS conversion? Everyother crafter gets this but us. Id like to use it for fs crafting xp but sadly SW have to take master artisan to do that now

Yeah, I know what you mean. It is extremely lame that I am unable to transfer my rather small pile of Shipwright Crafting XP into a FS Crafting XP. If the profession took 50% of the skill points it does or took none at all, I would be fine with this, but it takes the same amout of skill points as other Elite crafting professions, but is hobbled in that I have to work up 33,000 of General Crafting just to ever so slowly scoot up the FS Crafting tree...
