I think the profession is great.
The spins and tweaks I am thinking about include being able to change the colors of blasters, choose the 'look' of certain components when they are installed on a starfighter.
For instance, there are two styles of engines for A-Wings, X-Wings and Y-Wings. From what I understand, the only way to see the second style with the A-Wing is with the Nym Starmap Quest Engine.
Some people like the faster engines, but want to use the "original" style engines on their ship. Whereas others want fast engines that have the more "advanced" look about them. I would like for shipwrights to be able to choose which style engine, style and color of blaster and style of Booster, if applicable. The Z-95, for instance, has two styles of Booster, the single above cockpit design and the larger dual style design that light up larger and far brighter then the standard engine glow.
That would raise some demand for the SW profession and is something I would enjoy seeing.

I could even need full factory support for some more free time, any tell is throwing me backwards in my schedule. Hundreds of items each week all crafted by hand are not easy to manage.
I wonder if Tangle and m play the same game

One thing that has worked out really well for me is to go into business with other shipwrights. Right now, I'm just supplying armor to our shop. Others are doing blasters, engines, and others reactors and shields. It has worked out really well. I still make the same cpu and craft about 1/3 of the time I used to and our shop stays pretty stocked.

you do good work IIscandar
and yeah, teaming up with other shipwrights is probably how its meant to be done, considering that ships are massive massive devices capable of space flight... it would stand to reason that one person wouldnt build one on his/her own

Ok, for me after the hotfix the resources are updating like they should, bars are showing and experiment stats are updating correctly. Can others confirm?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Not having ahandy shipwright to talk to this in game about, what effect would you think it would have to your profession if chasis condidtion was linked to mass tollerance? I.E. you get your chasis banged up and the mass allowed for components would drop percentage point for percentage point... I think that would increase the demand for chasis as players would replace hulls that get shot up.
Not being a SW though, I suppose there are aspects of this I haven't considered. What sayest thou?

I'd support this if we could "overhaul" chassis. That way ifa pilot's chassis has lost enough condition that they can't launch with the current loadout, they could at least contact a shipwright to spruce up the chassis. Perhaps even make use of a "repair manual" something like an Owner's manual for the chassis or like those Chilton car repair manuals. This would be a long way into the future though.
It just seems to me that pilots might grow fond of their chassis. I can't see Han Solo tossing the falcon in the bin because the condition on it was too low. He'd figure out a way to repair her. Including an additional negative effect of losing in combat in the system as is, doesn't sound good to me.It would have to be introduced with a new player interaction based way to resolve it other than buying a new chassis.
