no joke man, started with about 4000 pieces, and now down to 1948 pieces. Still no disc. I wonder if i am bugged :/

Don't know. Maybe I took all your luck. I did about 20 pieces the other day and got 2 disks....

I've had better luck getting KSE disk from space loot I have actually shot down myself .. I have people bring me space loot all the tyme and I have no luck what so ever .

in the last week i've been grinding the KSE currantly i have a 3, 4, and 3 2/8's... thats like 300 RE combines... 800 or so parts.

I got 2 discs before even hitting anything higher then Novice.

Less then 500 REs (probably less than 300), all L1/RE1s, 14 discs looted thus far (gotten every disc except 3 and 7 myself). Only had to trade for one, still need Disc 7, and I know someone who's willing to give me a dupe, yet I want to see if I can get HIM one HE needs before just taking it from him arbitrarily (even though he just offered to give it to me).
Seeing as you've said you've REed 2000 items, I'm betting you just collect higher-level loot and piece them together haphazardly...snap judgment, I know - but I've seen too much of it to think the best of people.
Simply put, an L6+ RE doesn't equal 6+ L1/RE1 REs. It's one chance vs. six-plus. L1/RE1s are far more efficient and speedy - comb through your loot, find the good stuff, SELL it, and with the profit offer to buy L1/RE1 loot for 3-5k/apiece.
You'll soon have so many discs you'll wonder why you saved all the higher-level stuff and start mourning over all the good loot you probably blew through that people'd pay 500k+ for.
...just look at the link in my sig to see what pathological pilots are willing to pay for exceptional pieces.
