I'm so glad I quit... and I feel so good about the fifty bucks I paid for the cash to buy resources to make Master Shipwright for my guild...

Seriously, with crap like this they are begging people to quit.

Heck, I don't even have the game installed anymore and I'm having more fun reading the forums and laughing at the nit witts that think the game is going to get better... It hasn't and it won't.

Early last summer I said in a prominent post, "Change or fail". The next week they hired a few more developers. Unfortunately SOE, you've changed nothing and ultimately, you've failed with your Jump to Bankruptcy. Add all the loot and all the developers you want, but when you fail to see the big picture by doing things like what's listed above, you're only proving your inability to properly operate a world of the scope and magnitude of SWG.

Perhaps you should just give up now, while only a few hundred thousand dollars behind.

Why not quit posting on the forums too if you have left the game? You seem to have very little of value to offer the players that still play the game.

part of the reason why the devs are adding in the ship is because of the fact that to a new player that just joined with JTLS and does not read the forums will have a very hard time getting the cash the cash to buy a ship because 90% of all SW are stupidly overpriced.

part of the problem here is that SW is a rich mans profession. unless you have lots of friends willing to give you resouces and lots to harvest resources or have loads of cash with which to buy resources there is just no point to doing SW.

If that is the reason, it is an extremely poor one. The devs were the ones that decided the resource requirements for ship chassis and components. If they are worried about high prices, they should lower the resource requirements.

I don't know if most shipwrights are overpriced. I know that I am not. I charge about 3 cpu for chassis and 10 cpu for components. (Unfortunately I don't sell much because of the game-breaking lack of factory support.)Ifpeople have trouble getting the money for that, they are simply too lazy. Pilot is not a bad money-making profession.

Baloney. Horsecrap. Politician's promises.

A new player that just joined with JTL and does not read te forums will be led by the nose by the system into enough credits to buy several tier 2 ships by the time they're ready to fly it. Maybe you should try it. I've gone through enough credits on a brand new character on a different server to buy at least 3 Y-Wing Longprobes from several Shipwrights whose prices you'd have to be blind to miss (they spam their prices in Coronet and Mos Eisley starports). That's just since entering the tier 2 boxes. If you toss in the cash earned in the tier 1 boxes, creds I spent on things likenon-space droids and fusion reactors, you can prolly add in a 4th Y-Wing Longprobe.

Pilots like you need to stop lying about the situation. There is more than enough credits in space through duty missions and component selling to cover ship costs. Component selling even existing before the chassis dealers started buying them as I know several shipwrights that emptied the bazaar of any components for sale and had vendors setup to buy at prices above the chassis dealer's. And the player is led by the nose via the pilot trainers telling them to do duty missions, so no forums knowledge is needed.

I didn't understand this statement to say that the players will be GIVEN a Tier 2 ship. I read it to say that they will be given an upgradeable Tier 1 ship upon reaching Tier 2, which has already happened. Where did this information come from?

Actually I read it as saying that new players will receive an upgradeable basic (tier 0) ship that's viable up to tier 2). I can't speak for the Imperials, but the z95 and the Scyk are definately viable up to tier 2 (with the z95 actually being viable all the way to X-Wings).

Like it or not, the guy does makea fewvalid points. All one has to do is look back since the begining and see how SOE/devs has beenhandling things. Only a glorified SWG fanboywould saythat everything is fineand ignore anything else. It is the duty of the playersto hold SOE/devs responsiblefor their work on SWG. Failure tohold them accountable for their actions invites more problems. There is no "nice" way todeal withtheseissues anymore. I am not condoningany overly sarcastic treatment of SOE/devs but there clearly needs to be a firm plan in place and the focus to carry it out along witha greatly needed improvement with the relations/communication between SOE/devs and the players.

Garbage. I could start a new character, not do ANY ground missions at all, and by the time I could fly it, I would have plenty of money to buy a tier II ship just from credit chits and selling looted parts. There is PLENTY of money in space.

Both of these statements are another example of how everybody wants everything in this game without any playtime, let alone effort:

"It should all be available to me right away and free because I pay my $15 bucks a month dammit and I want to be Jedi and a Shipwright. Not in two months, NOW!"

To anyone who claims that SW is too hard to master, or that ships aretoo expensive, I say shut up and work for it, I'm getting sick of your constant whining. I was able to master SW quickly because I spent MONTHS leveling up to Master Architect and then worked my a$$ off as an Architect to make some money. Do the same instead of complaining how awful it is that you can't be a Master Shipwright two weeks after you install the game.
