This new poll would have a definate inpact on our profession, so I thought I'd point it out to everyone. Personally I think mission terminals need to be added to space, because we really do earn very little in space. But asking for delayed, or lessened decay would not do anything but impact us detrimentally.

Well they experience an all together different type of decay don't they? Also a vastly larger customer base.

I defintely agree that the insurance of some sort should be implemented in some fashion , I really dont think that it would have a overal effect that woudl be bad , and people then wouldnt have tendancies to cry about prices for replacing.

How much is it really all that different? Everytime you use you weapon or die it decays, when you repair it, it deacys, same difference. If you're worried about less customers, relax, they are still going to need pieces and thing will get destroyed and decay, plus give it a month or two and the number of shipwrights is going to fall off due to the amount of time you have to invest.

So by this post you mean you want to bleed more and more money out of people than you already are... then do it, just be prepared for a lashback from the pilots!

Backlash from the pilots? What are they gonna do, stop going into space to spite the shipwrights?
Yeah, I'm SO sure that would happen.

you are right. the only thing us SWs care about is squeezing every last credit possible out of every single person in the galaxy. We are all greedy and we are actually all part of an evil alliance hell bent on toppling the galactic economy. Or maybe buying resources and making ships is really expensive/time consuming. That could be it also. I forgot which one it was.
I have no problem with insurance on ships, im a shipwright. We pay maintinence on houses and structures to remove decay. Why not pay some type of maintinence on ships? Like an upkeep cost to maintain them. Would it be too much to ask for maintinence on the ship, above and beyond the money you pay to get it repaired? Reduced decay is not going to hit us hard, oyu said it yourself resources are expensive and time consuming. Thus using less resources to keep making stuff that dies too fast you will be able to actually stock up and mineral prices will drop(hopefully). What good is having too much business that you cant keep up with?
