I like the ships we have in game..but I find it lacking in a lot of ways. Just like weapons, you can tell the level of a pilot by the ship they fly. There isn't much divercity, and the solution to that is adding more ships up and down the tree. ( or making all ships viable at all levels of pilot )
In my wishlist of ships you will see larger ships..destoyers and frigates that need a crew to run..as in a group to even leave the starport (station)
Some of them should be like the firespray and have a looted schematic (to help keep them a lil more rare) some should be outright aqdded to pilot trees and some should be faction ships
list was compiled from www.starwars,com and other websites that i don't remember
also..some of teh ships refer to a spefic ship (ie the Millennium Falcon) obviously I am refering to that model of ship.
posted here...causeI figured you guys would love to have more ships to sell...sure you guys have ideas for ships you want added too.

The problem with "Guild Ships" or other huge ships is the fact that space would be cluttered with them far too quickly.
Think of the areas around Coronet and threed, the way they're built up with buildings.
Some of the others have merit however, and have their models in game...
And we already know that we're getting the Jedi Starfighter MrkII with Rage of the Wookiees, as well as an unidentified mining ship.

Thanks for the reply..What do you think about making large multiplayer ship like that be special forces only, would add a bit of the GCW war to space...I think they should include controling the space zones in deciding who controls a planet..but for that they'd need ..player stations and stuff like that..somthing that could be attacked and destroyed

I like this idea. Of course I'm always for adding more ships of all factions, which I'm pretty sure everyone else including the devs, is.
Stations would be great in the future. I'd love to see the stations already in space be "occupied". You could land at them as if you were landing on a planet and raid the occupants. Sort of space station fight. Whoever won would get points toward control of that sector. This might even encourage players who don't want to fight in ships to get jtl so they could take part in boarding parties.

Yeah..I just think more ships would be more fun..and add to the game..course I have to finish mastering freelance pilot first lol

We COULD have capital-class ships, but here's a problem...
Cost of a Nebulon-B Frigate : 194,000,000 credits
Cost of a Star Destroyer : Over 5 times that amount
Now, certainly, more freighters/transports/fighters are needed, but the costs in credits for anything larger is ridiculous (not counting the number of resources!). If SOE ever adds more ships, I hope they keep them below the capital-class.
The thought of an SSD being controlled by players makes me laugh uncontrollably. 
You can buy/get Firespray's (Slave 1) in-game already. Same with TIE Fighters, which were on your list.
The problem with new ships will be to balance them, or else the forums will be filled with people complaining (as if they aren't already) 
The idea is good, I admit, but not feasible on this scale.
I'd like to see a YT-2000 (Otana from XWA) and a bunch more freighters/MP ships.

There's a good chance costs like that would prevent them from being all over the place, and ensure they would be a guild only ship. Still, 194m is pretty steep. At 5cpu that'd put the amount of resources to make a frigate at 38,800,000 units. That's 38,650,000 more than a YT-1300. I know your just using that as an example. Let's say the resource cost is 3,800,000 units of resource. That'd put the price at about 19m credits. A but more possible for the average guild.
Star destroyer then by the same method would be 95m which is tough price to reach, but not as much as 5 times 38m.
It seems that the limit of 20 people in a group would seriously hinder the staffing on a star destroyer, and one person flying around in a frigate is a bit unlikely.

A super star destroyer is over 12000m long. I would love to see that in the 16000x16000 box we have to fly in

I don't think the cost..and having to have a full crew for each ship is a hinderance in putting them in..rather a control to make the ship more rare....ship like capital class ships should be extremly rare (aka what jedi should be)
and to even be launched should have a full crew.
and each crew position should stay manned while the ship is in space..putting a huge disavantage if one of the crew members has to log. a ship that has lost half its people manning turets isn't going to be very usefull
Analternative to that would be make capital class ships assosiated to a faction (might mean adding a couple more factions...which we need anyways..rebs and imps weren't the only ones throwing their weight around)or maybe just letting master pilots buy the ship from the pilot trainers..with fp

OOhhhhhhh, if space could control the ground game faction control on planets, we'd see alot more pilots, i'm all for this one..../5* for that idea

Yeah..factoring space sectors into who controls planets would ive people more reason to use JTL, would be more pvp in space..more pve. But They would have to add stations to be controled and fought over. Eitherplayer based or just static bases that can be taken over.
PVE bases could be somthing like
toclaim the base you must kill the defending squad of fighters, and space turrets
PVP bases would of course have to be defended by players, with miminal npc support, and a space turet or two
I'm gonna post this idea in the GCW forum
