Thread: Factories? Whats your take?

So what is your guys take on factories? Do you think we should leave it as is or should we beable to make all components in factories not just sub-components, missles, repair kits, and others.
I would like factories for all components. I got the game on wensday, spent all of wensday and thursday crafting to get my vendors stocked and stay stocked for more than 30 min. Finally got a little bit ahead, but thats only if I craft all day. I would rather go into space once in a while also, not just craft all day to stay stocked.

I've spent, and i'm spending all WHOLE day crafting components, and every 2 minutes i receive a 'Vendor sale Complete'.. is impossible to stand it for longer, i still need to craft a lot of other components but i cannot.. my vendors are emptied in a glitch.
FACTORIES NOW!!!

we need factories tremoundesly bad, we cant just sit and craft all day just to hope to keep vendorst stocked. Its deffetnly a must for all componets but for the chassis they should all be hand made still i think.

Now now... don't give up. 
The devs generally do not participate much in discussions. That can be frustrating. But I do believe they readmost of what we write on these boards. So let us keep this discussion going - with the proper arguments of course.

I am a Master Shipwright on Starsider. I just came to the realization that I cannot make Components in Factories. I had it all worked out, I was going to make backpacks at each level, so I wouldn't have to fill all these custom orders. My neck is killing me, theres just so much demand.
Even after grinding all this way, I am gone from SWG if they expect us to hand craft every Component we ever make. Thats insane.

My take is that there's already a half dozen threads on this page devoted to factories. couldn't you post in there?

I'll try to aim at building high end custom orders what am I supposed to do with factories. I think there is a lot to say for both bu I would at this moment no factory support.

Why does the chef or weaponsmith have a factory and not shipwright. if devs think that every overcharger mk1-5 and so on is to b handcraftedthey r wayretarted on that one but hey- its not the frst time we see those gues comming up with such a supergenius idea as no factories for shipwrights, btw we all should start posting this one thing - WE, THE SHIPWRIGHTS ARE CRAFTERS TOO AND WE WANT OUR FACTORIES, ( id still would like to know who is that birdbrain - sorry for the term but he/she deserves it - that decided the fact that shipwrights do not have access to factoriies).

Factories will make things easier, but as a weaponsmith, I know how hard it is to make a dent into the weapon economy when there's already established weaponsmiths intha galaxy with the best real estate, and suppliers for resources and loot. The crafting one item at a time, goes a long way to reventing monopolies. I'd torn. I'd like to make factory runs, but I also know the problems that factories create. I'll leave this decision up to the devs. There's good points on both sides here.

Please don't speak for all shipwrights. I think one thing IS clear and that is many SW want factories and many do not want factories.
I for one do not want factories for the dozens of reasons stated already, in the dozens of other threads on this tired subject.
