I tend to like the idea of free, however I've been thinking about free and leaning towards not doing it for free. If a person wants a Level 10 item Re'd, that item is basically costing me a sale of a Level 9 item. I'm considering charging the cost of what my particular level item is for this service because I now know this person with the Re'd item won't be buying this item from me, instead using the Re'd item.

I have to admit my jaw drops when I see some of the prices out there. To each his own.

I dunno. I guess giving away 2 Firesprays isn't good enough. I'm still considered greedy when I try to keep profits above operating costs. Maybe I should just craft my ass off for a couple of days so I have killer selection, and sell those items for 50 cpu like "the largest shipyard in the galaxy" does.
/cackle
if you crafted your ass off for a few days, you'd be charging those rates too. Loss of gameplay time doing other 'fun' things to make lots of product means customers will pay a premium for it.
I have many satisfied and happy customers that found all they needed at my shop and didn't have to waste time searching multiple shops. For them, they are willing to pay a premium for that. Others are not and are willing to travel around the galaxy for hours to save 50k.
I have a question.
If you did a RE & were lucky enough to receive a Firespray fragment....
1) Would you tell the person you were REing for?
2)If that person was paying, would you give it to them then, as they are paying for the service?
Not trying to peeve anyone here, just curious to see how it is handled. Thanks
