I just made a mk2 blaster with max damage 1010 and a mk 4 with 2904
Will try mk3 and5later
any one else done better ?

Best weapon to me doesnt mean the highest possible damage. You should maybe post the full stats, well at least the mass, min-max damage, energy per shot & refire rate.
I currently use Mark IV ion/disruptor. Damage is 1500-2400, energy 17 and refire, euh cant remember. I always use a limiter to decrease the energy per shot.

Effectiveness counts for a lot--that's the percentage of that max damage number that actually applies.
I think my best weapon was refire of .35, max of 3700+, and effectiveness .104 vs. shields.

Thats great energy per shot, mine were hitting 18.7 pre-master, so I hope to hit that soon

do you mean 1.04? .104 would be like 10% of the max to sheilds (370 damage)

best advanced disruptor I made:
1500 - 2500 dmg
0.210 shields
0.790armor
22 energy/shot
0.32 fire rate.
Mass a heavy 13k
Still coupled with the complimentaryion, I did far better than any of my looted items. Now if I could just get down which optional component to craft, and get some better resoruces...

As a pilot, I dont find that the energy per shot is a very important stat. To me, its the min/max dmg and the Effectiveness. Effectiveness is the most important, as it dictates how much actual damage your gun will do after shields/armor, its like being able to craft Armor Piercing into your guns.
Best Advanced blaster I've conjured up come out as 2700dmg and 0.51 vs both armor and shields.

For my own use, and for figuring prices on my vendor, I calculate the shield and armor damage per second. Here is the formula:
(min + max)/2 * 1/refire rate = damage per second
damage per second * armor percentage = armor damage per second
damage per second * shield percentage = shield damage per second
So a 1500-2500 Disruptor with a .33 refire rate, .25 against shields, and .75 against
armor gives...
(1500+2500) / 2 * 1/.33 = 6000 hit points / second
6000 * .25 = 1500 hit points / second against shields
6000 * .75 = 4500 hit points / second against armor
A 1500S/4500A weapon
This doesn't take weight, energy use, or capacitor drain into account -- but it does consolidate the damage numbers into a single pair of numbers that I find easier to compare.

Are you you using two guns ? As I am quite surprised you dont pay that much attention to energy...Hence, I prefer to have slightly less max dmg (that does not mean much as you need to take into account the average dmg) and better energy per shot because once you get access to deep space, Tier 5, especially AWings, can be a pain in the arse to kill. So I have an adv ion (0.71 shield et 0.22 armor) and an adv disruptor (0.22 shield & 0.71 armor) I can spam almost endlessly.

You are correct, thanks for catching that. And max was actually about 3200+.

to the origional poster, i kinda get where you were comming from. 1010 is v good for aMK 2, mine hit 1005 to 1008 depending which sub comp I used
