Are you you using two guns ? As I am quite surprised you dont pay that much attention to energy...Hence, I prefer to have slightly less max dmg (that does not mean much as you need to take into account the average dmg) and better energy per shot because once you get access to deep space, Tier 5, especially AWings, can be a pain in the arse to kill. So I have an adv ion (0.71 shield et 0.22 armor) and an adv disruptor (0.22 shield & 0.71 armor) I can spam almost endlessly.



I use three guns, and I fight tier V stuff all the time and I agree with D3st0r, I'm more concerned with damage and effectiveness than energy per shot. I guess it all depends on your playstyle. I very rarely lay down on the trigger. With three hard hitting guns I know that every hit I make is going to do some serious damage, so I just focus on making well aimed single shots rather than letting loose a big spray of fire. When it comes to A-wings, it may sound cheap, but all I usually do is come to a dead stop and let one of them come at me head on. Its real easy to line shots up on them when they're coming straight for you, and my guns do enough damage that I can almost always take him out in the first pass.

if you have a good enough capacitor you shouldnt worry about energy/shot
