Thread: Any Profit in having a Space Mining Vendor?
The only thing I would ask you to note when making such a vendor is that only ROTW accounts can use the stuff and so you should make a note of that in a sign / ad bark / description or you could get complaints coming back.
I'd expect mining laser and cargo holds to sell, as we can make better than the quest ones. Tractor beams so far seem the same as the quest ones so probably won't sell too well.
Well I plan to sell enitre POB ship packages, full set for say 500k to 1mil.
Some players on chimare charging the earth at the mo 360k for a rail gun. Thats 72cpu an item. Way over priced I would say.
But as for mining lasers , cargo holds, not many of me customers have asked for any yet, but only time will tell.
So far just us. And there isn't a use for Icy asteroid (I think everything else has at least one use).
I expect others will at a later date, just not sure when.
So the only use for them is shipwright stuff. Some people really, really want the new POB stuff, others want the new texture kits, and some want the new light heavy fighters. So, make your cash while the market's hot.
Might have something to do with no one else have a vendor with more than 1 piece of mining equipment on it. atleast not on my server if I look at the vendorsearch.
Most popular items have so far been Tractor beams, Mining III laser (starfighter) and Largecargohold (starfighter).
The small and medium variants sell alittle, but I think most people wont be mining in the first Tiers of Pilot profession.
The Modifications also sell well.
The biggest problem is the Timeconsuming Mining.. thats why I offer to buy Any Asteroid resource at a higher price than any space station will
and so far a few of my customers have returned with their mined resources and recieved their paycheck.
