I love buying a Tier2 ship for 6k and turning right around and selling it for 250k within 48 hours. And that's my grinding price. My "I took time and care to craft this with the best resources possible" priceis 384k for that ship... but nobody's calling for that yet.

Even better was the 6k Ixiyen that went for 500k, but I've only caught one of those on the bazaar so far.

The nice thing about this is that it greatly reduces the time and resources I have to spend on my basic chassis stock, freeing me up for missile packs and weapons systems that are flying out the door like hotcakes.

LOL, I would have done the same thing. Whether it was crappier than what I can make hey its better than you having to waste ALL your resources on it to sell for a profit!

I found the perfect solution for me.

I've just subbed work from a master. I get the money I need to continue getting better at SW, he gets cheap, mass chassis. The arrangement won't last forever, but for the time being, we both win.

If you are on Naritus, feel free to visit my vendor on a daily basis and buy me out. Till then I will be more than happy to supply ships at a more reasonable price to those who for what ever reason do not have the multi-million credit bank roll.

Located South of coronet on the first Row: AubenCorp (third house on the eastern side of the peninsula just south of starport)

Tier 1 5k (Novice ships, costs 5k resources)

Tier 2 20k (Level 1 ships, TIE Figthers, Y-Wings, Dune Lizards, cost 15k resources)

Tier 3 40k (Level 2 ships, TIE/IN Fighters, Y-Wing LongProbe, Kimogilas, cost 30k resources)

Tier 4 80 k (Level 3 ships, TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers, X-Wings, etc, cost 60k resources)

Tier 5 110k (Level 4 ships, TIE Advanced, TIE Aggressors, etc, cost 85k(?) resources)

Tier 6 250k (Master ships, cost 150k+ resources)

And if someone gave me the resources, I would craft them what ever they wanted for a nominal fee of 5k per combine.

I mine all my own resources and power, and pass teh savings on, I do not support the proce gauging on resources and certainly would enver pass that onto a customer. I sell ships because it is fun when you are master, not because I want tomake millions of credits.

Just shows the greed.

I don't have any cross server trades, and would appreciate the courtesy of not being accused with no information.

What I do have is a small group of friends that set up some energy harvestors, I set up 4 mines for steel, 2 for ore, 1 for aluminum, 1 for iron, 1 for fiberplast, 1 for polymer. That provides all the resources I need to make the ships, I accumulate these resources, and try to keep 5 of every ship on the vendor which is in a friends house.

I do not disrupt any economy, people who say I do are simply upset becuase I may cut into their profits. I do not hurt the consumer, only the seller. But I obviously can not have the stock that the higher charging individuals will have since they buy their resources, and as far as quality goes, I have the same access to the same quality resources.

What hurts the economy are individuals that find ways to bring in tremendous amounts of credits into the economy, allowing cross server trades to allow huge conglomerates of resource sellers.

The economy in SWG has always been a free economy, I sell what I feel comfortable selling at. My current prices completely pay for my own harvesting of resources, as well as gives me a comfortable margin to save credits.

Plus, has anyone even realized the "money" maker for shipwrights will never be the chasis blueprint, it will be the components, the armor, the ordinances.

I've been flamed, 1 stared, and generally been bad-mouthed for days because I don't over inflate my prices either. I'm glad to see I'm not the only person that's trying to do what they feel is right. Like Tlk says, it's a free economy. I will continue to sell what I have at a price I feel is fair.

In addition...the lower the prices you guys put on your goods...the more and more...Shipwright is looking like the Architect proffesion. You know ..how they pretty much have to pay people to buy their goods..by lowering the price so much that the RAW RESOURCES sell for more credits than their final product.

you all should reall think about what it is your doing before, deciding on selling items for 1/2 of a credit per unit. That my friends, ruins professions.

Actualy in a Real world this would be the case, however since we have to compete with what other professions do not have to compete with this is a highly false statement. I say this b/c no other crafter has to compete with Daily and I mean Daily loot drops better than we will say 80% of the crafted stuff. I tried to make last night a friend that needed a capacitor i capped it out with all great stuff at 762 energy storage, and it was a level 5. He unfortunately laughed at me and said no offense man but I have a level 2 that is better than that. So I said ur kidding me and he showed me his level 2 with 790 storage, so I did a RE on this capacitor and turned his level 2 into a 800 energy storage capacitor. So with stuff like this how can we RELY on components to make a profit as do armorsmiths and weaponsmiths who only have to worry about "UBER" Rare ground loot?

As far as not being a server trader I agree that you DO NOT have people on other servers u trade lots with, however if you are using MORE than the 10 lots provided to you by SOE you are still exploiting the system "IN A SENSE" not cheating as exploiting means. You are not one thats bad as u statsed above, however llike a gentleman on our server told me the other day that I charged too much if I mined my own resources and I said well u charge what u can b/c I can not mine enough on 10 lots to provide my customers needs and wants. He laughed in my face and said I have "43 extractors on Coreilla alone", so basically he was sayingI suck b/c I charge to cover resources and get more! That to me is just as BAD as server lot trading, friends or not, guild or not they are not YOUR 10 lots, so to punish other SW's who use the 10 or buy them is assanine in my honest philosophical opinion!

Keep up having fun DarthLithic, this is an interesting profession, do what ever you feel is right. One I have fun with. I like to see what I can craft better, what I can make better than what I can loot. I also try to remember all those trying times after launch having no money running from one city to the next, not affording to buy a gun. I like selling my ships to people that find themselves in a similar situation today as they start the game.

For all those that sell at higher prices, keep doing it, if that is what you want and brings you enjoyment, I and many others that sell at lower prices are not trying to make you lower your prices, we would simply appreciate you accepting us and learning to sell your products (you did choose to be a service profession) rather than trying to make us seem like we are inept at business or hurting the game in an attempt for us to raise our prices to your level. It simply will not happen. My personal feeling is that this forum should be used for discussing ways to improve crafting and experimentation. Discussions on the improtance of resource stats, not debates on the morale or economical pricing of chasis. No one will ever win that debate.

You are missing the point. These people are selling their products for EXACTLY , the amoumt, the RAW RESOURCES would sell at.

they are NOT jacking up prices..

instead, you "low ballers (and yes, its your right to do so) are selling your good so inexpensively, your not even breaking even on your sales.

In the REAL WORLD business like that..don't stay around long...they go bankrupt.

think about it.
