Thread: How do you organize your loot components (to be RE)

It take a lot of storage space lol. What I have done is to divide them into bags of each type (weapon, shields etc). lvl 1 stuff I RE immidiatly (if I have time). For the high level stuff I usually want to wait until I have a set of good items.

Are there any loot you don't bother to buy?

I use the storage room of a vendor to this end. This allows automatic sorting in component type. And offers a lot of storage. The drawback is, that you need skillpoints for this solution.

I have tried sorting it by level and type I prefer the type method however I have now filled my large house our guild hall and a friends medium house.

doh

I need to get a few more boxes in shipwright so I can rev all my higher end stuff.

our entire guild is giving me all the components they dont need.

I have all my stuff on a single vendor in bags by item type and level, I have over 600 items on this vendor now, it was that or use every lot I have as a factory for storage, even then the merchant vendorworks out better.

I use a bag for each level up to 6 then 7 on are in one bag, I rarely get many of these. Most of the loot that gets to my buying vendor is level 1 to 3 so storage isn't too much of a problem, I do these as soon as I get enough pieces. My biggest problem now is not storage, but the NPC buying loot If I offer the same prices he does I have to sell high level stuff for waaaaaay more than what I can do crafted stuff for, and so far loot isn't that uber.

I use an unlisted vendor, instead of using 99999999, I list based on the RE level: RE 2 at 22222222, RE 3 at 33333333, etc. I then select the component category and sort by price when I'm working on something.

I use the 7 bag system also

1-6 and the rest in another, place them along 1 wall and if you minimise you can get all 7 bags open on screen as well as you inventory. Have the item in the inventory thats to be re'enged, check the level, if its higher that level 1 check the bag to see if there is enough of the same part, if not drop it in the tool, if there is enough in the bag drag the ones from the bag first then drop the other into the tool from you invent.

Another tip is before you start get all the tiems you are gonna re in your main invent then take something else out of you back pack like some resource or summin then when the tool re'ens them it will be behind the ones still to be done so you dont keep examining an item you have already re-enged.

This is exactly how I do it myself. I have bags from level 2-10, and all level 1 stuff I do immmediately!

I love this idea dude! I've got all my RE stuff on one of my vendors and it's easy to select the type but I hadn't thought to use the price as the RE level. /bow

Bermag, things i do.

first is, seperate it all by level (make its a breaze for grouping) I use factories to make this easy.

From there, i can 'change the view in inventory' and seperate by type. (This allows me to sort and find that 1/100 item that is worth keeping) hehe

I don't even re-eng the good stuff. just stick it in a (labeled by, type & level ) backpack on a vendor, then immediatley place it in the 'storage room', for later use (when somone needs something specific for a re-eng).

..........you have the right Idea..all the low level stuff get rid of right away by (re-enging), as well as, all the crap ( 99% of the loot).

I also use a vendor system.

I list everything at 100K plus the RE #.

Then I can go to Ship Components and just look at the subcategory and sort by price.

For example, if I want leve 5 capacitors I just look for:

100005

This is same concept as the 22222, 33333 described above, but it's easier to bulk list parts as I only have to change one (or two for RE 10) digits at the end of the price.

i use the vendor system here

have each vendor have each lvl except 1 and 2...they're pretty quick and i keep in bags

but the rest i put in and u just sort them by name and when u find however man in a row, bingo you can take them off the vendor and do the dirty deeds with them
