3 bags

  • "Propulsion Loot" - Engines and Boosters

  • "Core Loot" - Capacitors, DIs and Capacitors

  • "Defence Loot" - Armor, Weapons and Shields

Saves a couple bags which saves space in the house

Also in my note pad (/no) I have a tally system so thatI know exactly how much of every level component i have at all times.

I use a vendor too, but I never thought of using price to sort re level. Have to make the price changes. Love it.

Have access to a architect so made Armoires (the cheapest one) and changed name to Level # Components, did this for level 2 thru 10. Use small house keep have 1 amoire labelled Space Loot and another RE'd parts so guild can put parts in 1 and get parts from the other.

I've made a spreadsheet that does min/max lookups and threw in some vb script to flag the items that correspond to the min or max that is being displayed. The thing is a beast to use, but effective. When I get bored, I plan to work on streamlining it into something I can share with others for their use.

i use the vendor system here
have each vendor have each lvl except 1 and 2...they're pretty quick and i keep in bags
but the rest i put in and u just sort them by name and when u find however man in a row, bingo you can take them off the vendor and do the dirty deeds with them

That sounds like you are only RE'ing identical named items? You know you can use batch of X number of level X Re parts of the same type (engine, reactor etc) they don't need to be named the same, that was done away with a few weeks before release

My way only works for Master Merchants and then only for those who have no use for a bunch of their vendors.

I have 10 vendors in the basement of our Guildhall, one for each RE level of space loot. Everyone in the City knows to sell their RE loot to the appropriate vendor. This provides a never-ending source of loot for REing (even if I do have to pay for it.)

Every day I buy all the Offers on each vendor then "sell" those items back to the vendor. To keep under my "items for sale" cap, and to avoid the constant annoyance of restocking every month, I then withdraw the sales which sends the items into the stockroom. In this way each level-specific vendor has RE parts in storage for ONLY that level and it's extremely easy to sort them by component type after that.

Also, doing it this way churns out scads of Merchant XP which then goes toward my FS grind.

I use a medium size house and just drop same level comps right by each other. So theres clusters of comps everywhere, some rooms are for propulsion, some for defense, another for systems.

Its much easier on the memory to see things this way instead of repeating icons in a backpack.

I use the input hopper on 4 crafting stations and just group them buy Type and have 2 very different looking part types in each then do change view thing sort by name then by type then switch view. That lines them up in typr order and name order. Then i just go through them click click clickity click. works pretty well but i do also like the vendor idea but I only got business 4 so guys that is not an option.

I use a similar system. All level 1's are 10000, level 2 20000, etc. Anything less than level 3 which has been re'd and is not worth the hassle of selling get's put into a bag to take to the chassis dealer. If it's been re'd and i'm going to put it on my SW vendor, then I set the price on my storage vendor at 15000 for level 1's, 25000 for level 2's etc.

If it's that uber loot that I'm saving for later re'ing or use, then I set the price at 999999xx where xx is the level of the component, ie 99999904 would be a level 4 component. This allows me to select items by component, and sort by price which coincides with the RE level. I also don't run the risk of RE'ing a valuable loot component by mistake by setting the price to 999999xx.

Hehe have you guys ever been on the merchant forum. Bring up the subject of using vendors for storage and stabd back to be flamed lol.

That idea with price to show the RE level is nice. Not sure that I have space on vendors though. But I can probably move something else out. Vendors are nice since it give you an overview. The bad is when you have to take soemthing out, first drop them, then find them in stock room and have to delete the auction unsuccesful messages

Sorting on level instead of type might be a good idea as well. Since you can sort on type that is pretty good. But if you do this in bags you might soon run out of space.

I sort them in factories. 2 for items to be re'd and about 4 more for items already re'd waiting for friends to take what they want and then sending them off to a vendor. I sort those ones into groups, engines/boosters, reactors/droid interface, weapons/capaitors, shields/armor.

We've got a bunch of guild members flying and gathering loot. We have about 5 MSW in the guild. So we set up 10 factories for storage and put everyone on the admin list. The factories are labeled "RE 1" "RE 2" etc. When a pilot gets full, they swing by and drop the right level in the right factory. When a SW has a chance, they work their way through the factories, REing as they go.
