Thread: How many of the new ships are constructed or results of quests only?

with the problems that surrounded the introduction of the CU, I cancelled my accounts and my preorders for ROTW. I reinstated my accounts after I had my pre CU skills etc restored, but now only paying on a month by month basis.

As a master SW - I have now cancelled my accounts again. WHY oh why did me and my guild mates spend so much time in advance of JTL to gather the resources so that myself and 2 others could get to master SW on the same day JTL was launched - SW is a DEAD profession and a total waste of time. Looted and RE components in 90% of the time are better than craftable items. SO what is the point of being master SW ??

SOE - PAH - sorry I am not going to print the words or feelings I have that describe your arrogant stupidity towards your client base and get banned off the boards again - just so I will be able to post in weeks to come and LAUGH at your stupidity.

Im seeing a disturbing trend so far with the reports people are making about RotW.

Almost all of the good ships thats included with the expansion is given as a result of doing a quest.

Tell me, what new ships that is of any significant improvement over the old onesis actually made byShipwrights?

It's highly likely that ALL these special ships will be crafted by shipwrights. I've a feeling that the reward you get at the end of the quest will be something like a chassis blueprint with either a single or limited use. However this happens, the recipient will still need a SW to build the thing for them.

The only ship quest i've done so far is the mining ship. It was a DEED.

All new ships except the high-mass starter ships are quest rewards in deed form. This includes:

High-mass variants of X-wing, TIE Interceptor (Royal Guard TIE), and whatever the Neutral equivalent is.
Y-8 Mining Vessel.
Jedi Starfighter II.
ARC-170.
Grievous Starfighter.

One of the reasons for the fall of the Roman Empire was, lacking the number 0, they had no way to indicate successful return from their C programs.

Heya umm if these ships are all deeds then how am I gonna sell an interceptor? I mean, if the royal one is better and can be obtained free then why should I even bother making them? I reaally hope these things are reward shematics and not deeds because that wouldbe crazy to take the high revenue ships away from the SWs' hands.

Note: Not trying to be critical but it's really a valid concern.

Or is it that the royal interceptor *is* one of these new SWproduceable ships but even so the rest really all should be schematics.

Sigh. that was what I was afraid of.

I thought the Devs was making this game to be a Player Based economy. If this is the case, WHY are they cutting the Shipwright out ofthe loop on RotW?

Sure they needed quest rewards. Why couldnt the rewards be limited production schematics for Shipwrights like the Firespray?

Just one more jack-up for the crafters by the Devs.

Thanks alot.

I second that concern. Why a ship deed? It really should be a limited use schematic.

For the record:

My Jedi Starfighter was given to me in deed form, NOT schematic.
Sorry guys, looks like us AS' weren't the only ones screwed recently.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.

I've only met one wookie so far on Kashyk; a better fitting title would be "Rage of the Shipwrights."

I can't believe I was actually P/O 'd with the poorness of crafted components. Each and every devs who approved of these ships as quest rewards should be fired, blacklisted, and deported. I faithfully remained a shipwright despite the difficulty to make good parts, the poorbusiness, and the inability to match looted components and how do I get repayed? Great new chassis that I can't craft!!!!!

I want my pre-order money back. You screwed me over one too many times. What am I left with, a high mass Z95, Skyke, and Tie. I wish the devs would bounce this crap at us in the in-concept forums so we would be warned not to pre-order.

I'm pretty disappointed, myself. All these new ships outclass our older, craftable models in a major way. They either have double the maneuverability or double the mass or a combination of both. If I didn't have to RE gear, I'd drop Master Shipwright this instant.
