I'm acutally not a SW. But I am a collector of vast amounts of high level components. If I loot a high level component, level 8 or above, I save it for Reverse engineering. I'd be really interested to hear some of your guys best RE'd creations...

I'm about to complete a reactor (re lvl 8) that will end up 23k gen and a little over 21k mass =)

Mass is roughly 2-3k and energy is very low on it as well. It works exceptionally well for my low mass tie fighters.

Not in-game but heres some nice numbers I can vaguley remember - will get confirmed numbers up in a bit. All of theseare RE'd.
Cert 8 Blaster
.69 effective to shieldsd AND armor

mass apx 29k
13.9 energy/shot (wowza!)

2550 front/back (front/back stats are acheived from the Tier 4 mission 3 reward - hehe - bet you never noticed you got this reward huh?)

I use the higher mass stuff in my Rihxyrk (one of the coolest high mass ships I know of).
Several of the above I have multiples of stashed. I havea fewother stellar pieces and I consider those and the aboveindivual market values (Intrepid) in the 500k-1mil each range. No, NONE of these are for sale if you're drooling - I keep this kind of stuff in-guild.
I am also saving some pieces to RE,similar to what made the above - PRAYING that the devs fix the percent increase bug - a 8% increase would be much nicer than the crap 4% we're getting now on cert 8s.

My best creation so far has been a Level 6, 50.5 recharge ~1200 energy capacitor.
I do have about 1200 items waiting to be RE'd & I know there are some amazing items in there that I don't have enough parts to RE them with yet.
A wingman looted a 4100 max damage weapon last night. Unfortunately he didn't want to donate it to my pile of RE parts...

The Level 6 Capacitors are excellent when RE'd. I have a number that are 1,200 energy available and 51+ recharge rate. I am using one of these now in my Oppressor firing two uber weapons with no problems, I can hardly drop the capacitor energy.
My most uber creation to date is probably a Level 10 ship blaster.
(approx stats as not in game atm)

I run this combined witha Level 9 RE'd weapon doing 3,976 Max Damage (.7's on vs) in my TIE Oppressor. Both fire a gorgeous blue "round" plasma/ion ball and make a sweet sound. Using Weapon Overload 3 (for some reason Overload 4 crashes everything!) I can take out Tier 5 bad guys in about 5 shots. PVP anyone? muhahahahaha!

24000 mass
currently im working on another lvl 10 capacitor for a friend (ele'mak...hi!) which will probably end up even better than that. need 4 more lvl 10 caps (hard to come by...most people end up using the ones they loot)

Hmmmm, I am curious how you justify 24K mass in a capacitor? Granted a 1400+ capacitory is uber, but if you can't even drain the 1200 capacitory then why add an additional 14K mass just because it's better.
To me this whole process is about juggling mass versus functionality. If a Level 6 capacitor at 1,200 can get the job done, at much less mass, then why use the Level 10 RE'd loot even if it is better? That mass can be used on a higher level RE item that matters if it's better, like say a weapon, or sheilds, etc.. where higher mass almost always equals higher functionality that impacts your performance in space.
Now that Level 10 capacitor might be great in a Decimator for instance where mass has no issue. But in manage our lower level ships everything should be a balance/juggle between mass/funcationality and which components we can "just get by with" and those that we can uber out.
I also assume through these discussions that folks are using everything at their disposal such as Reactor Overload 4, etc.. when flying. As an Ace pilot I certainly do. So while a 24K Reactor is great, why add the extra mass of it if my hand crafted 17K Reactor never runs out of energy?

i dont justify 24k mass in a capacitor. in comparison to what you or i can craft (master tier components), that 24k mass capacitor is god-like. so are all the rest of it's stats. would i ask someone to put it in an interceptor, a-wing, or anything else (other than a master class multi)? no.
that wasnt the topic question, however. to date, that is my best RE'd capacitor. sure ive blown out about 30 or 40 lvl 2 capacitors with 38 or higher recharge rate, that weigh alot less. those last significantly less time, can be drained, and are fairly common.
the lvl 10 i made is neither common, nor can it be drained (per discussions with the guy who bought it), and has lasted him much much longer than the lvl 2's he was purchasing off my RE vendor.

A little program called Shunt Capacitor energy to shields 4.
The more cap energy you have, the more your shields get restored.
