I always thought it strange that we can build ships but not fly them until we are certified.

oh one more thing! some texture kits for the b-wings and such require a chunk of asteroid. Have you dropped this thing in your house? it is literally the size of a house itself. now on one hand you have a chunk of asteroid the size of a house and on the other you have a texture kit the size of a coffee cup. you need one to make the other. It's like cutting down a forest to make a tooth pick. Thanks.

Wow. I resubscribed to the game to check out the new ships. And as a master shipwright I can't make them? Can't even fly a mining ship unless you're a master pilot? Probably wouldn't want to fly it anyway since everyone says it's borked?

THANKS! That makes the decision on what game to remain subscribed to much easier. Nothing new to see here, apparently.

my biggest gripe with ROTW is that there was no content added for crafters.


yes we SW's got the side strakes and text kits plus all the POB ship stuff but my alt(who is the SW) is not ROTW enabled(at least not until my total experiance box arrives) yet i can still make all the stuff.


Dont like the fact that you can go sell space minerals to an NPC.



the ability to customise chasis would be nice, so for example you could convert a missile hard point to a blaster hard point.


the hanger idea is super cool. and could be carried over to all crafting profs. weapon smiths get a forge, AS gets an armour workshop, chefs get a bakery etc etc.


another nice feature, which would give the crafters some good lovin would be to gain more lots with more crafting profs. so combat types gain lvls, we as crafters could gain lots. these lots would be a purley master reward(to stop dabblers) say at master artisan you get 2 extra lots, and at master elite crafting prof get 3 extra, for a total of 5 extra lots. put a cap on it saying that you can never have more than 5 extra lots, so even if you master 2 elite crafting profs you would still only get 5 extra lots.

Space mining is kind of fun but as others have stated it is very tedious... but SOE does tedious
They need to increase the yield from an asteroid chunk, increase the storage capacity on starfighter cargo holds or they need to make the Y-8 able to be operated by a single player. And why does the asteroid have to run out of hitpoints and have to be reset? I had one that was only half way down and it wouldn't spawn a chunk... I had to waste all my time trying to destroy the thing so a new one would spawn... and get attacked by a swarm of Tier 1 Tie Fighters every 5 seconds... the 'roid musta been near a noob spawn point


I also don't like the fact that space stations can buy the asteroid resources. As I didn't like that Chasis Dealers were able to buy the looted components. It increases the amount we have to pay for the asteroid resources and looted components in order to get players to sell them to us, rather than just turn them in on there way back to an NPC.


Also have to agree that all those Texture Kits are a waste... why not make a multi-style texture kit?

It goes beyond looted vs crafted my biggest worry is the look and feel in space.


With so many prequel ships showing up the game does not look right. how many JSFs did Vader have stored away? Why cant we have an advanced TIE skin with the same stats as the JSF? I mean thats what he is flying now right?


From a Rebel POV the heavy X Wing Looks and feels about right its not llike flying a truck and hit hits like a ton but I would have expected this from the standard X Wing not a one time only varient. The Heavy TIE seems about right and at least it looks right.


/shrug maybe its just me but i think the JSF and the ARC and grievous ship should beless commonthen they are now.
