Thread: Feedback: Publish 11.2 Shipwright Changes
Selling off of looted space items for $1K per level. Ouch! I don't mind the cash generated for the player, but now those items are lost to us Shipwrights for us to RE. I depend on these RE-able items to have better stuff for my guild as well as for trying to gain the Firespray schematic. What about this idea: Maintain the selling of the space loot to the Ship Chassis NPC for $1K per level....but allow Master Shipwrights to buy those looted items back from the Ship Chassis NPC for $1K per level also. This would give insentive to be a Master Shipwright and still allow us to get as much looted space items as we need for RE'ing.
agree. a new bazaar to devour.... also im still working on firespray schem. it seems like some of the stuff on the bazaar is going to cost more then the chassis broker is buying for. so i can either take two L2 items to the chassis broker for 8k. or i can combine them in a reverse and sell them to the broker for 4k, i have no problem buying what ever is left over on the bazaar and reverse it in hopes for a firespray schem. atleast let me recoup more the 50 percent of my costs. i buy 3 L3 items off the bazaar for 6k each. thats 18k i reverse them in hopes for a fragment and end up with a crap reversed componant. so i get to sell it to the broker for 6k? and for all those out there who are going to say it. no not all shipwrights are rich. some of us are shipwright just for the thrill of being one and are not in it to be bill gates. (frankly im sick of trying to quest for the ability to say im the best sw on the server buy from me. atleast i can fly unlike some of the other shipwrights who are a slave to the fake game money)
see this example
im averaging i think about 300 reversings before i get one fragment. so at 2k per level and average out that i cant get all level 1so150 reverses are going to be level 2.
thats 150 items level 1 at 2k for 300k credits
now 300 level 2 items at 4k thats 1.2 million
total of 1.5 million credits to reverse 300 times forthe so called average reverses for one disk in which 10 is needed.
i now sell (if i want to take that many trips) 150 l1 items to the broker for 300k
150 items l2 to the broker for 600k
total return to broker will be 900k losing 600k per 300 reverses.
figure i gotta do this 10 times and pray i dont get a duplicate. but hey its gonna happen so lets say i have to do this 15 times for arguments sake
9 million credits down the tube

Mass changes require shipwrights to discount their old chassis (all neutral and 1 imp). I wonder what the most common crafted chassis were? Neutral and the TIE Opressor maybe?
By placing a loot buyer right next to the terminals within starports the devs have made a very deliberate decision: use up all the loot that would otherwise be re-engineered or sold on the bazaar and give out scads of cash to those that bought JTL. This has several interesting effects: makes the firespray harder to achieve (i've purchase over a thousand loot items from my customers and have yet to get all 8 pieces of the Firespray disc from RE'ing the parts), increases price SWs are required to pay to get loot IF, IF people bother to sell to SWs now; and a third effect. All the solo group people are going to hear about the new money machine-- JTL loot selling. Its easy, just go pay 30 bucks to make more money again.
Pro devs can't be dimwitted enough to 'accidentally' make these changes without thinking of the consequences.
But as soon as the JTL sales figures climb to desired levels the loot buyer will probably go away or the price reduced and solo grouping will be allowed again.
We do 'think' about this game a lot, SONY.
-crafting tool needs to split items up into weapon/chassis/component tabs so i dont ahve to seac\rch that godawful long list
-mark truncations are a pain
-chassis vendor should not be buying loot items at all, let players run the bloody economy
-changing the mass of ships without allowing old ships to be broken down into component resources again is a drag
Cheers

- Doublespacing has been added between every line in the crafting tool item list. This is seriously annoying.
they removed the conductivity requirement in speed for engines and it went up a bit. how about removing the conductivity requiremnt in the casings of the stinking capacitors. you think that would help? im not an electrical engineer but this is a game. what would the casing have to do with the energy or recharge rate. atleast move the casing requirement to "metal" that we we can elect to use copper or not as the casing. maybe take a hit on the armor and hitpoints for using a "softer" grade materiall as in copper or keep a higher armor and hp rating by using steel. or maybe that would be too much of a pain to code into the game

LMAO!

Who is "Mark"? I have a ton of his components in my inventory.
If you see him tell him I have his stuff.
And crafted ones are terrible.
That is why we're still complaining.
YPR speed vs YPR acceleration?!
I see there is now another thread on this confirming what Tiggs said.....see above.

oh yeah he can make some killer stuff when he wants to. now if i can find his vendor
He doesn't have a vendor that I know of. I think he has some gremlins that "fix" the parts just for you!
