Contrary to what a previous poster claimed, on Bria, Y-wings and the equivalent ships are going for around 100k. That works out to about 6.5 creds per unit. With the price of steel, I don't think that is unreasonable either. I saw 25000 steel selling for 500k. That is what is unreasonable. I price my chassis' as follows, starters: 20k, teir 1: 100k. Not sure what the teir 3: will be, as I have yet to make one. I have only had one person claim that my prices were to high.

As for components, I try and keep the price at around 5 cpu, mainly due to the significantly lower number involved.

Of course prices will vary from server to server based on a nuber of factors the main one being resource availiblty. Right now and for the past 2 months flurry has been seeing a dry spell for steel and ore.I checked a few days ago and we have about 4 types of steel spawned, and 2 of those are the new resources. None of which are any good. All of out major resource dealers are stretched to the limit as far supplying their customers. One dealer Nerfed, is having to fill orders 1 at a time and only on limited basis now...

On the bazzar it's not uncommon at this point to see a 600 stack or stell going for 2500-4000 credits and it's not any good. I have 80+ static mineral harvesters, and for the first time in 6 months I don't have a steel spawn above 55%. In fact the highest spawn on the entire field is 32%. Imagine a field almost as big as most players cities and nothing for steel. Hell I have Ore %'s that are higher then my steel spawn.

I agree. The lack of steel is a huge problem. I am trying to work my way up to master, and, not having a PA to back me with resources, this is proving to be difficult. There are almost no vendors with steel available and when it is, the price is outrageous. I finally gave up, tore down my big house, put up a smaller one, and dropped some harvesters. Of course, it is still going to take me forever to get all the resources I need, and liekly the steel will run out long before I am close to a decent amount, but at the moment, there is nothing else to be done. Still, I am trying to keep my prices down to a reasonable level, and I figure anything around 5 creds per unit right now is pretty reasonable.

Yes, but, your the SW that everyone comes to me after you dont have or cant make what they need or want right now, so there is nothing wrong with me buying 10cpu steel and making 10cpu ships with it, just because you dont have the cash to invest or the will to do so does not mean the rest of us should not. I have not yet had to turn a customer away because I could not make what they wanted, not once. And yes, players are willing to pay for getting what they want right now and I am more then happy to provide the service.

You took offence where there was none meant. Buy resources for what you will, and sell for what you will. That's the glory of capitalism. However, I haven't had to turn anyone away yet, and in the end, who do you think they will go to, the guy charging 2x what I am for the same poduct. Personally, when I sell items, I try to barely break even, not gouge the consumer. As for not having the money or the will, believe what you will. Personally, I suspect that in the end, I will have customers where many will not.
