i got an 8.7 droid interface, but some droid chips take wayyy too long to use ad become useless during battle..

cant imagine Han sitting there saying ' Chewie rotate the shields' then chewie sitting there doing nothing for a minute..

I wanty to be able to change shield balancing ( and overloads )in the same speed of a shunt on POB ships

CO-PILOTS need a special overlay so that they can see whats overloaded, with what values and what commands they have access to the moment they get in the chair all pre set up for them with no fussing.

Almost like the control panel of the ship opens, ( a thin strip of graphics )

currently they cannot tell what balance the shield is set on, all they can see is how full the shields are

im worried that this shield isnt going to be high enough still to avoid a one shot kill from a heavy x wing with 3 overlaoded guns,, anyone tried yet?

This is a good point, my heavy-X (with 3 level 10 Guns) hits for around 7,500-14,000 with 0.8/0.8 vs Shield/Armour - and these are the base non-overloaded stats. Looking at the Elite shield stats combined with Elite armour this couldeffectively still be a 1 shot (orvolley if you like) kill if the right component, such as the reactor, is targeted on the POB. This is perhaps an extreme example, but POBs in DS will still need to be careful of the single seat enemyfighters.

I am able to mine with my Y-8.

Did you run a weapon overload program when you tried before? When I first tried mining in my Y-8, no chunks would break off. I read somewhere on here that it works if you run a weapon overload program. The next time I tried, I ran WO3 and had no trouble mining. It was slow though. Since the top turret and pilot gun do not have intersecting paths, the "slurp" method of mining with a tractor beam is really hard.

Will try it later tonight

As for key questions forus to consider (ideally if you have tried these on TC):

  • What do you like about the changes?
I like it alot. Much more reasonable resource requirements.
    New stats also welcome

  • What do you dislike about the changes?
No complaints, except the bugs that will go live

  • Have you seen any issues with them? (yeah, definately need to have been on TC to answer that)
    Nothing to add.

  • With these changes are you likely to use your POB ship more in PvE combat?
I hate POB ship. I will still be using my fighters. Bel-22 & Vaksai 4tw!

  • With these changes are you likely to use your POB ship more in PvP combat?
No, customers are to be shot down in a more personal matter. Face to face in fighters.

  • If the answer to either of the last two is no - Why not?
Lag. And beside, I am more comfortable in my fighter. Less people to depend on.

I am looking forward to actually using the Y-8 for mining. My main concern, however, is the lack of loot box and thus the inability to collect the special asteroid chunks. I could care less about a loot box for standard loot, I am not going to use the Y-8 as a mini capital ship. But the asteroid chunks *DO* sell when made into their respective custom texture kits... And they also make nice decorations in houses when used appropriately.

When i asked can we actually mine in it, i meant it as, does it mine?
When i used my Y-8 ship, me and my friend went up, i started "drilling", drilled some more, some more, kept drilling and drilling, nothing would come off... then my friend asked me: "So are you going to start yet?"

there was NO action going on for other players, i kept shooting and shooting on my screen with the mining laser, but no chunks flew off, and the other players did not see me doing anything at all... It's like i was only dreaming i was mining... err...

That's what i meant with my question.

Can you confirm you were in the pilot seat of the Y-8?

You have to have an RotW account in the pilot seat of a Y-8 before any chunks will come off. Although the pilot doesn't have to be the one shooting the main asteroid.

Yes, it was my ship, i flew it, and i had rage of the wookiees...

I know the pilot doesn't have to, but in this case he did nad it did not work. I'd love to put together my old Y-8 and try it again tonight!

Any word on the capacity of the Large Cargo Hold for POB ships?
