I'm not going to bother getting into the math of it all, and I buy my inert petrochem and fiberplast at 1cpu (2cpu for over 850 OQ) so yes, my numbers weren't accurate, but my point is I can easily keep my vendor modestly stocked running a mere 8 harvesters. 120k for all my harvesters for one week, 665k (let's say minerals and 217k radioactive on 77% spawns with 6 mineral and 2 fusion generators = roughly 10 tier 4 chassis (320k steel, 160k ore, 80k alum, 80k iron) @ 200k = 2 million credits
-120k maintenance
-320k for 850+ OQ fiber and petro (80k of each)
= 1.56 million credits in profit if I sell ten tier 4 ships at 200k.
If I sold them for 400k, sure, I'd be making 3.56 million a week. Whatever. I can play the ground game for three hours (grinding mokks) to make up the difference, if I REALLY need to. (Which, I don't)
Now, I oversimplified the resources because in reality I'd be harvesting just one type of resource a week and switching every shift, but since I stocked up long before JTL, well...whatever. So...how is selling stuff at 2.5cpu going to kill my business again?
Heck, even throw in paying 320k for 2cpu ore...I'm still making over a million a week. Even paying 2cpu for all my resources I can make a 400k profit, but we all know steel won't come down in price for at least a helluva long time.
Don't even get me started on my philosophy about JTL
. I happen to be a firm believer that skilled, hard-working pilots should be self sufficient (taken from a quasi-roleplaying standpoint)...Han Solo didn't kill cavemen for hours on end to be able to repair his ship, and Boba Fett didn't buff players on Dantooine as a side job you know...hehe

Yes I know you made that up to be rediculusly long and over priced system Mr. Algebra
Going back and looking at the prices w/o the .00001 thing and it would be on the high end of my bricing quality scale
15 and up is Crazy
10-15 is high end
7-10 CPU for chassis is fine
7-4 is cheep
4 and under isbuy out time
And to Mr. I-sell-cheep-cuz-i-only-need-this-much-money-and-i-like-seeing-ppl-in-space yes you could make 100k a day easy selling at your buyout prices. I just wish you were on my server, my stock of advanced is running low. And yes 65k for a novice chassis is high, I charge 50k for onesI make and 40k for ones I buy from other people.
A JTL player is not supposed to be self sufficent. He/She is supposed to play the ground game to finance there zero-g escipades. Yes they might have to work a bit to get chassis. Good. Better ships is a goal for people to reach. When you get higher up and actuly have to go and make money specificaly to get a ship, consider your self emirsed into SWG.
JTL is an expansion, not a seperate game. I am sick and bloody tired of people saying "space is un-profitable and pilots cant support them selves". Now while i will admit there should be a way where space can become profitable, like master duty missions or something. It should NOT be self sufficient. You should HAVE to play the ground game inorder to get better stuff for space. If you dont agree with this, go play your X-Wing allyance or whatever bloody other NON-MMORPG space sims are.
aye! aye! on it all...hehehe

You find me someone who wont gouge me on the price of Steel, Alum, and Qre and I'd be happy to make ships at 3-4cpu. But when I have to pay 10-15cpu for resources I have no choice but to pass along the cost.
