Thread: Recent looted parts are scaring me

I used to say there wasnt a looted reactor out there that could touch what I could make. That was until last night. Looted a reactor with over 20k energy generation and only 15k mass.

All I can say is that tonight I spent an hour (or more, I was trying not to look) in a futile endevour to fit all the possible MKIII parts into a TIE/In for a guild mate tonight. The mass of his ship was 39,834. Granted I made on (more out of cusiousity than anything) that wasalmost 41k with my best resources (only the ore was yellow), that stillwould have left me10k short.

Simply put,it can't be done.

Even if it could, all the parts would be so piss-poor when compaired in quality to loot parts thatthe customer wouldn't even want them.

So... what I suggest is thatthe DEVs giveus 10 seperate mass experimentation points. This way we may actually be able to both fit thepartsinto theships andperhaps even make them worth while having.

Maybe they just didnt want to give SWs TOTAL control over space stuff, plus loot that isany use is pretty rare

So your solution is to punish Pilots for something the Devs do to you? I have several Shipwright friends that are making a killing as Shipwrights. True, once you master pilot you will only visit a shipwright for missiles, REing, and replacing old chasis, but you are still making a killing on them. Dont forget that not everyone will be flying a master ship with tons of mass. Im a master pilot and my ship of choice is a dunelizard cause of its handle and great 85k mass. So level 9 components that have over 20k mass are useless to me if not put in my YT, so i depend on low mass CRAFTED components. and since i mostly kill tier 4 and 5's, i dont loot low level components that will help my Dunelizard. The most difficult task ingame for pilots is finding good shipwright vendors. The shipwrights in my city cant even keep their Vendors full, cause they sell so quickly. So if you aren't a multimillionaire ingame yet then you are doing something wrong.

"Start charging for RE", what server are you on, cause from what I have seen on eclipse, SW's that don't charge for RE are rare. Asa SW, you get the possibility (however slim) that you will get a Firespray schematic or part from REing, so are you going to offer it to the pilot whoes loot gave you the spawn? No. so why should you charge. You are turning this into the locked container situation for Smugglers. Once the community realized that items in locked containers were a joke, and that novice smugglers could only slice containers to gain xp, the situation flipped where people were charging the smuggler to slice them. even though the contents went to the guy charging.

BTW Please tell me where you are getting 1 in 3 loot drops with such great stats. ever since i masttered pilot, i have been killing tier 4 everytihng on mission, duty missions, grind, and even kessel for 2 hrs and never got anything compared to what you got.

I am not trying to punish pilots. Where did you ever read that in any of my posts? I am happy some loot is good but when you get a 20k mass reactor with 40k energy gen then something is really messed up.

I dont charge for REing because IMO if I charge and get a FS Schem disk then morally I should give it to the person. If I dont charge and get one of the disks then its fair game for me. I do have morals afterall. And REing takes all of one minute and one charge on a analysis tool that I have thousands of. If I were to try to charge for time and resources it would be like 100cr if that. I dont want SW to turn into the next doc profession.

I fly all over. Dathomir, Endor, and Yavin to name the biggies. The thing is I only go after Tier 4 and 5 ships. Some NPC ships almost always give me some kind of loot. Only three times have I NOT got loot from a couple of the specific NPC ships like Dark Eclipse. Go to Dath and kill the Tier IVs there awhile. It will take a few kills to kick in but once it does I start getting 1 in 3 usually.

I don't mind, if Spaceloot is so much better, than the "crap" I craft myself now. It would be nice though, if the fix something about the Experimentation, so we can get at least close to some of those Stats, but still that isn't the #1 on my List. Don't cry for a Nerf. Cry for a Lovepatch so we can create those Stuff too if you have to complain about it.
