part of the reason why the devs are adding in the ship is because of the fact that to a new player that just joined with JTLS and does not read the forums will have a very hard time getting the cash the cash to buy a ship because 90% of all SW are stupidly overpriced.

the dev shoulds simple reduced the amount of resouces need to make stuff and get rid of the named reasources. heck im thinking of master Sw just to make my own stuff as some sw charge 150k for level 4 and 5 shields

Why are SW's charging 200k for one pack of space bombs then

SW's are charging 5-10 cpu when it takes 0.5 to pull it out of the ground.

SW's are very overpriced even with all the resource

I did'nt, I charged 17.5k for 4 25k max damage spacebombs, but I now see the error of my ways. clearly that was a ripoff.

I personally dont think people like you will be happy till we are all gone

And Docs are charging 400+ cpu when it costs them 0 cpu to pullmeat out of a bird.

But wait...Many Docs buy their Avian meat, despite needing FAR less for a buff pack than a Shipwright needs of radioactive for a missile pack. You don't think Shipwrights have to do the same? Especially when a Shipwright has enough business that his demand for resources far outstrip the 8 lots for harvesters he has. A factory run of 15Proton III torpedoes will consume a full day's output from a 13 BER Heavy Mining Installation on a 80% concentration of steel. I easily go through 2-4 packs of torpedos per day by myself.

Mind you, we haven't even begun discussing the quality of that steel yet. Nor are we even mentioning that steel of a high enough quality to make a good pack of missiles would also make a good chassis, a good blaster, a good reactor, a good shield generator, a good reactor, a good... hell, good quality steel is required to make everythingof decent quality in Shipwright. Here's the cluepoint. in case you haven't caught it yet:

EVERY PROFESSION

CHARGES MORE

THAN IT

'COSTS' THEM

TO HARVEST

THE RESOURCES

THEMSELVES

This whole "why are shipwrights charging X" argument is ridiculous. Running around for unprogrammed chips the other day, I saw such wide varying prices that for me to come here and say "why do de's charge 50k for a chip" (which I saw) would be just dumb. And no apologies to all of you who have and who continue to say it. Its dumb. If you see someone charging 200k for a spacebomb pack, delete the wp and never go back there.

Maybe the person is using the vendor as his persaonl inv (as I've done sometimes) and figure if someone wants it for that much, let them have it instead of the standaed 999999. There could be any number of explanations.

Not ALL shipwrights are charing a certain set price, not even on your special server, despite what you think. Using it in any argument then shows how faulty your whole premise really is. If you're on shaky ground, stop the argument. Don't compound it with non-truths and assumptions.

Dont assume you know a damn thing about this server if you have not been here.. I have compiled the prices of the 21 shipwrights that we have so far.. and the all charge close to the same, except for two cases, Who charge me less, but are good friends. Most really are chargeing the prices I have posted.. Its like this on other servers I play on.. So either do your home work or shut up.

And why should we believe you've done enough homework to state conclusively the prices for your server? I can tell you that on Chilastra Shipwright prices, like all other professions' prices, vary. Some of ridiculously expensive. Some are ridiculously cheap. It's all a matter of investing the time to actually look. Sure, I could have paid135k for a 13 BER Heavy Mineral Mining Installation that I found in the first shop. I could have paid the 100k I found in the next 10 Architect vendor machines I checked. I ended up paying 75k for one instead. Nice enough price difference that I bought 5.

And I can state just as conclusively as you can, based on the homework I've done on the different servers I play on, that the prices you quote are aberrations and not the norm. 1.5m for a crate of Proton III missiles? Damn, I need to move to your server. Same crate goes for around 135k-150k on Chilly

Some homework. Here's a couple quick links for you doc: here and here. Took me all of 5 seconds to run the searches. Seems not everyone on your server has the same problem as you do. Hmmm.... looks like you do a lot of talking out of your butt.

Flying those duty missions out of Yavin IV filling up on loot after a half hour, I have no doubt it will be nerfed soon. Just a matter of time. I get around 400k a pop after little more than a half hour. So you can get space to "pay for itself" unless you really are a terrible pilot. And if thats the case, should you even be up there?
