No argument here, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing us with the ability to mess around with them a bit more. On a set of shields, 10 experimentation points doesn't let you take advantage of good resources. Splitting 5 on front/back HP will only push your experiment % up to what, 56-62% or so? That is weak.

If we were to prioritize these things, though, I'd put it about fourth on the list of components needing changes. Maybe first on the list of components that don't necessarily require an upgrade but should definitely be looked at.

The worst issue for me right now is the interface!


My eyes would be sooo much happier if when crafting it didn't dim the whole screen. I end up with bright, dark, bright, dark, bright dark, so much I start to get a bit sick. I craft pretty fast. If that Dimming effect when crafting could be taken out, I'd be very VERY happy. This may not be a "shipwright" issue only, however, with our supreme amount of hand-crafting, I think it effects us the most.

The reactor drain stat doesn't get a % bonus when REing. It will correctly choose the lowest drain from among the available components, but it will not give the level-based percentage bonus on top of that.

I'm curious about this as well. I Mastered SW not too long ago but i'm nearing 50 items re'ed and haven't gotten any pieces of the schem yet either.

I got my first disk since launch and over100's ofre's just 2 weeks ago. I've not heard of any changes to the drops.

The rate is difficult to pin down, my gut feel is it in the region of 1 or 2 hundred pieces on average, I have had luck and had 2 in less than 50 before, but then had a dry spell and gone around 3-400 before getting the next.

Anyone notice about the ships shield component when u put it on? I made a mark 4 shield that has front hitpoint 1740/1740 and a back shield hitpointof 2020/2020. I found out that whenI put the shield on the ship, the shield status evens out to 1818/1818 front and back. I found out that this doesnt only happen to the shield I crafted but every shield that has uneven shield hitpoints. Can anyone confirm this as a bug?

I just noticed something I did not see mentioned. I was crafting some Missle Launchers and the Schematics call for 50/50 Conductivity and OQ for all 4 lines of experimentation. Well I started to put together one with high Cond/OQ and noticed that only the Energy Consumption line was effected by this combination of Stats. I was using a low UT Steel and Alum and was only getting 8% for Armor, Shield and Mass but 26% on Energy consumption from the Cond/OQ. I decided to try a high UT and OQ combination for Armor, Shield and Mass and was able to get 26% for each but the resources had a low Conductivity so was only able to get 12% on energy consumption. This was all before using any of my experimentation points. I am not sure if this has been pointed out or not and my search through the fourms came up with nothing.
