Thread: Screwed by the New Buffs.
I had no problem finding an entertainer on Shadowfire.. the main problem is you have to wait in line. There is only one spot that I know for a fact will have the entertainer I'm looking for and it's were everyone hangs out, everyone.
Took me about 30 minutes to get my buff and go at the MO.... hope you can play for more than an hour.....

You have alternatives:
3. Do a player search and start sending tells to musicians until you receive a response.
One thing to note is that the searches only turn up people who have that title showing at the time. Having a total-entertainer toon or three, I usually leave my dancer tag up, but can deliver all of the buffs if asked. In short, don't just search for a musician and give up, search for dancers, IDs, and even regular entertainers if you don't see a musician in the list right away...then ask them (politely) if they are also musicians and would be willing to buff.
I just posted this in another buff thread here, but I'll re-clickify it for you here as well: Clicky-matic for tips on finding entertainers

I'll have to do some more testing, but I think entertainers can buff more than one person at a time without requiring a group or anything other than using /inspire again. I'll look into this and post the results if you're interested in knowing more about what entertainers can do now (I have both a shipwright and several ATK-only entertainers, so I like to learn the ins and outs and teach other entertainers and patrons as well).
I read a post in the musician forum where they stated an entertainer can buff as many people as he/she wants at the same time. He/she just needs to be playing / dancing and select the inspiration buff for each patron.
I am having the same problems on Eclipse server. When I do find a musician ATK to get a buff I am so thrilled that I tip A LOT! ![]()
I hope more will come back to the screens..now that they are needed by the community.

Tell the musician they can simple select the next person and /inspire. They do not need to buff one person at a time!! The only such limitation is if someone wants a buff thatthe dance providesand someone else needs music. Then you have to wait. And dear gods I am so sorry you're going to the Mining Outpost. I'd be ready to slit my wrists if I had to go there to buff someone.

I did not know that, thanks.
Actually, I have noticed that the number of non-AFK musicians is increasing over time.
One observation I have noted, musicians aren't using the /covercharge option. When I ask what they charge for a buff, they respond that I can tip whatever I prefer. Perhaps we can encourage greater musician turnout by tipping those that aren't AFK generously. Personally, I tip musicians 50K credits per buff. I don't know if this is too much, or too little. I would love to hear others chime in on this.

Hehehe, I actually took a few hours to stalk crafters last night with my dancer/musician and offer them buffs....I think I scared one poor novice shipwright half to death
I've been encouraging my entertainer compatriots to do the same...why wait for the mountain to come to me, right?
As for covercharge...I don't know of one ATK-only entertainer that uses covercharge. Many of us feel that it makes the whole experience cheap and negative from the start and there's always the fear from some customers that one of us could just stop performing and leave after we got the credits. I always just say "tip what you feel is appropriate" to my buff customers, whether that be 1 credit or 100k. For me, I'd rather have repeat business and possibly make new friends than become "just another performer" by having a set buff priceor high-tippers list (I always found those kinda tacky). To be honest, I think my biggest tip was 30k in over a year as a dancer (it's tough being a male rodian dancer, let me tell ya), but I don't care about being rich and just want to have fun and be social when I'm not crafting, questing, or flying. That's just me, though, and I do have alternative income, so I do ask everyone to take care of your live entertainers...they may need the money more than someone with a bunch of alts like me would ![]()
50k, eh? That's pretty generous by today's standards, but I'm sure if you stick with that amount, you'll likely notice thatdedicated musicians will be much more willing to coordinate regular buffs for you at your crafting house...I know I would![]()

Lines can start when there is only one entertainer and they have to give out both dancer and musician buffs. For example, a shipwright would have to wait in line if the musician he needs for the buff is currently giving out a chef buff. However, the line shouldn't be more then 3 minutes as you can buff multiple people (just not shipwrights while dancing orchefs while playing music). On a few rare occasions, I've had lines (mainly when there's no ATK dancers around and a chef or BE really needs a dancer buff).
