Thread: Anyone else disenchanted with Shipwright?

Disechanted? Yes!


Why:

RE component quality vs crafted component quality - the perception that RE stuff is there for the patient player and typically is better than crafted. I understand about capacitors being broken, but with regards to weapons, reactors, shields, and armor I can almost always out craft a looted item (re'd). Engines have been hit or miss.

# of pilots is on Ahazi server seems to be very low, which does not generate much business.

Inability to factory run most items. I can't exp a great component, and decide to put them on a factory everthing needs to be hand made (with the exceptions of 'optional' components, missles, etc.) i.e. i made a factory run or mk II shield enhancements, i gathered resources to make good Ion Cannons (did the same for armor enhancements for disruptors) and during the ion crafting process I find that I don't have the option to make a schematic, to me that is a joke.

Storage. - I simply don't have enough room to store, so i have to use factories as storage which takes up my lots so I can't drop harvestors..blah blah blah.

Found out my SW xp does not count in the village, major let down there!

I am seriously considering dropping sw and going with ws or archi, not even for the money but for all around enjoyment. There just seem to be many holes in the SW profession that soe is not addressing and as someone who mastered sw w/in the last 45 days or so the deeper I dig the more frustrated I become.


So those are my problems, here are some suggested solutions.


We need to have the exp process count for more than it does, up the % or whatever.

DO NOT change the loot, I'm not calling for a decrease in loot drop rates or quality of loots....DO make it so a master SW can make higher end higher quality components across the board, so we can offer an alternenative.....

I get 15 xp points w/ weapons, let's see skill tapes, aprons, whatever to get the base SW to at least 12 point (if this is ingame already, I stand corrected but I don't see it).

I like the ideal of master level 'storage' buildings for all crafting professions lets have it or (read below)

I would like to see SW specific factories - i.e. a starship factory that allowed factory runs of chassis blueprints and other components along the lines of structure factories, clothing, etc.. I think this would be a keen opportunity for soe to add something new to the game...I factory that you enter, so theres a crafting room w/ your crafting station and say 1000 storage (can be tied into master merchant or master artisan) even if it took 2 lots and could only be accessed by the 'owner'. it could be one of those 'office' buildings we see in the cities that no one can go into or something shaped like the lucky despot (maybe on a slightly smaller scale) but something that would add to the look, feel, and practicality of the game.....I'm off on a tangent.
