You guys are right - too much froth here. I guess I was spoiled by the Architect's forum.

That's a good suggestion about just re-editing the original list with the "cream" that has floated to the top. If Betatoxin is still reading this I'd encourage them to try that.

Players can register a merchant under the 'ships' category but there is no such category on the planetary map yet.


Not a ships issue - butI can pull multiple groundvehicles now too

Please definitly add that player crafted engines are way, way slower than looted ones, and the roll, pitch, and
yaw are also very low. The engines I can make can not keep up with NPC's of the same tier. Not even close.

It takes a long time to stock all tiers worth of items. If I could crate out lower tier stuff, it would be nice.


Plus without factory schematics, it makes it hard to motivate myself to use enhancements.

Ok time for me to weight in here. I do agree with most of you what we as shipwrights need for instance: FACTORIES, PC CITY TRAINERS, and what happened to the firespray it not in the game. If it is i would like to know where. We also need time, this is a new profession 3 days old and I saw on another thread about 30 masters already (good job guys). I know I was in TELL H3LL for 5 hours last night when I was in the middle of grinding and made 2.5 mil in 2 days not bad for a new profession.

  • My engines when created are horrible compared to loot ones except maybe in speed. Once They are put into the ship the stats change. I have a mark 1 engine with 180 to yaw/pitch/roll and around 43 to each of their speeds. Once I put it in and take out they have changed to 500/500/250. Is this normal?

  • Armor reinforcement panel Mark 2 you can craft schematic, you can throw it in factory you can start to craft it, it will suck up resources, the output hopper says 1/100 items in it, but noone can see the crate of 20(seems to be the bug cap)that is made. Tried multiple factories and that is the only sub-component I have found to be bugged like this.

  • Structure or some new factory should be able to make components/chassis. As a shipwright you will literally never have time to do anything if you take your order's and try to fulfill them asap, this makes the game boring and dull crafting the same thing over and over(yes many different items to be made but like every profession people just eventually start to use the same thing, the FOTM).

TIE Interceptor has 50k mass where as X-wing has 100k mass and Kimogilla has 90k mass. Increase Interceptor's mass to at least 80k.


TIE Interceptor only has one gun hardpoint although it appears to fire 2(4 lasers)....remove the missle hardpoint on the interceptor if need be or rob some mass and a gun hardpoint off ofthe TIE Bomber if you have to in order to maintain "balance". But the TIE interceptor needs a mass increase to at least 80k mass and it needs twogun hardpoints in order to fire 4 linked lasers, then it willbe more balanced with the rest of the tier 3 ships.


The mass range possible for a ship should reflect the resources needed for that ship. The resources needed for a ship reflects how much the ship will cost the consumer. Why should you pay the same price for a bomber as you do the fighter if its in the same tier.

Whats this crap about no decay? As I understand in about 7-8 repairs, a ship chassis looses 50% of its hitpoints. Sounds like decay to me, and pretty damn fast decay as well.

Armor Component:

Some of you may have noticed that unlike the other components, when this takes damage and is repaired it becomes weaker and weaker.

- The reason is because all the components condition ratings are based on two stats (armor& hitpoints).
- The problem is the armor stat of the Armor Componentsis also used to determine the strength of the armor.


You mayas wellnoticed on your HUD armor is always displayed at 100%. Your taking damage with 100% armor, and boom 2 seconds later you blow up and are left staring at your screen thinking 'W-T-F, it said I had 100% armor!!!'.

- The reason is the HUD (more specifically your component status portion) only displays the hitpoints ofyourcomponents as a percentage.
- The problem is the hitpoint statnever degrades on armor, and thus your armor displays 100% even though it could potentially be knocked out (when you hear a metal thunk sound,it means your armor is gone and you chassis is taking damage, yikes!).


Solutions:

1. Start having the system for Armor Component, detract from armor and hitpoints each time it is hit. However, when theArmor Componentis repaired it does not decay it's armor stat, only the hitpoint stat suffers decay. This way your armor will always be 100% effective just like the other components on your ship, regardless of it's condition/life left.

2.Add a separate armor strength stat, and have the armor stat & hitpoint stat take damage like the other components. This may look a little redundant/confusing though to have two separate armor stats for the Armor Component.

In regard to the firespray. Pieces of the schematic to make the firespray randomly appear after RE looted components. I only managed to get one piece while in beta. But a lot of the other shipwrights pooled together the pieces and finally made one firespray that I know of before beta ended.

Is anyone having a problem with factories not accepting the schmatics??? I have 4 factories and only 3 of them will take SW schmatics.

I think you are needing to redeedequip facotriesplaced before JTL publish 1, in order for it to accept the newschematics.

Well i had all 4 placed before JTL came out(but 3 were placed within a week from it going live), I mgiht try that on the one not working.

So i will have to try that out.
