My drop rate for discs has been about 1 in 125. To date I've gotten 21 discs. I've been 1 disc away from my first schem for the last, oh... 10 discs or so (aargh, stupid disc 6).

If you haven't been already, you should network on your server's trade forums with other shipwrights and do 1:1 trades for dics you need vs. discs you have dupes of. I've already completed 2 schematics and have 3 discs towards a third doing this, and it basically helps everyone all around.

I gave two of them away in contests, and I sold 2 of them for 7 mil each. All of them had 62-63% mass experimentation. I kept the 5th for myself.

Really hard to set prices and such on this as it is more a persoanl what was your time worth aspect as well as what you spent. I know that the ones I put up not sold but figure that he orice was reasonable. Most of hat come up so far going back to myself or guild that helped me or friends who are offering some cash and putting up the respurces for it. Most of what I have heard were from 7-10 mill and in auctions been like 10-15 mill it seems.

Lots of posts on this message are saying how the high price of the Firespray is justified by the extra 'work' needed to get the schematic.

I see the G word raising its head again...

How to get a Firespray schematic (without grinding)

  • Buy and collected looted parts

  • RE them into the best items you can

  • Sell these items on your vendor or give them to people in return for their un REed loot

  • Get luck one day and find a FS disk

  • Repeat until you have all 8

You evidently haven't tried this process yourself. The problem liesin getting between 1200 and 1500 pieces for a decent price. The bazaar is clogged up by morons who want to sell a piece of 129 point armor for 6000 credits, and most people sell their little stuff to the chassis dealer now. It can be very time consuming and expensive.

Yea since the chasis vendor now buys the parts I have a feeling that those who do not read the forums (probably at least half the players) keep what they like and either offfer it on the baz at 6k for level 1 crap or just sell every thing to the chasis dealer for the fast cash. Sometimes you find the inteligent sellers who will offer items on the baz at level +20-50 credits for non Re'ed items which is nice to find but only really cost effective at the lower levels.

I am sure that from your mates, guild, own looting and lucky purchases from customers and bazaar you can get several thousand pieces together over the course of a few months. The only reason that this is a prolem is because you are all in such a rush to get firespray schematics and are thus willing to grind for them.

There is no hurry if it had taken 3 months for the first firespray to have arrived then it would take 3 months, its not a race.

Go tell people in Galaxy Trade forums that they should wait a few months. Seriously, go do it.
