heh.

your prices rock.

your brains are rocks too.

you will be out of business within 3 months, tops.

one of 2 things is going to happen:

1. your vendors will never be stocked, people will send you harrassing emails, people will send you harrassing tells, people will bug you and bug you and bug you until, in frustration, you quit.

2. or they wont.....because your products suck so bad no one will buy them.

good luck. you're gonna need it.

Eh, I'd say BobaFettish is taking it a bit too far. I think where the base of the problems come from is not the crafters... they have to charge at minimum what they paid for the resources. I would have to say it's more so those who go out and harvest/mine/loot things and then sell them at high prices. An auction is one thing... obviously whoever has the most money is going to win out on that. But instant sales for meat at $150cpu just because it has some nice stats is stretching it a lot.

My 2 cents.

The prices that people can charge is based on their cost of doing business. Those that only buy resources have to pass that cost on to the end user. Those that harvest own are able to do stuff for much less. There are those that do a mix of the two ends. The prices that you see are based on what they have to pay as well as what they feel its worth. While I will admit there are those who mine all of their own stuff and sell it as if they bought it at 10cpu (argument for this is that they could have sold the resourses instred of the componet for at least that much) and there are those who just are blowing things out at cheap prices either due to storage issues or that its stuf that they made while grinding (case with many chasis it seems) or some just do not know better. The thing is if you do not like the orices not much you can do about it other than not pay it or try and cut your own costs to compeat or just run your own business and not worry about that other guy so much. The market is still new and is working towards the middle ground. I remeber early days of armor and weapons when prices were sky high and now thinsg are more reasonable, same with mounts and vehicles. The market will eventualy find its stabel ground either though buring out crafters who are so busy keeping up with demand, having people go out of business due to loosing money or people lowering orices because nothing sells. Focus on your business and work to make it as cost effective as you can as well as desirable to your customers. Remeber you do not have to try nd be the end all be all Sw on the server who suplies every one you just have to pay your bills and have fun doing it.

That are damn cheap prices...

Thought i am cheap with around 4cpu for chassis and somewere below 10cpu for components (depends on my mood for what i put em on my vendor). You might even find some stuff very expensive on my vendor, but thats just because i like to have everything in stock, so i sometimes stock stuff at high prices so some stays in for the ones in desperate need

The original poster won't be in business long. Want proof? Take a look at the people retiring from SW by the hundreds- most of thesepeople who were quitting did so becuase they cut their own throat by undercutting. The original poster will be no different, however, if it makes him happy then cool, whatever.... I sure as hell wouldn't.

If he's mining his own stuff, yeah he will turn a small profit. However, I doubt he's making quality stuff to begin with. You don't harvest and craft with +900 oq/sr/cond/ut/ma resources and sell that low... Unless you're asking to be burnt-out & bought-out faster than you can restock, and run out of resources faster than you can harvest them. But since we have to hand craft by hand he won't be able to keep up with demand anyway- assuming his stuff is worth selling.

I wouldn't worry about this guy. One of the other posters said he'll have 3 months tops before his business closes, I'd give him 1 month to be honest.

Components 20 CPU
Mark I - 200 4k
Mark II - 500 10k

Mark III - 1000 20k
Mark IV - 2500 50k
Mark V - 5000 100k

WhenI put a sub-component in the price goes up 50% (sub-components cost 50% the resources)

My components are some of the best on the server.

My chassis im trying to bloody get rid of so im charging them at 1.5 CPU

Im get quite a few sales a day and several repeat customers.

I see no reason to charge considerably less than what other crafting proffesions charge.

I'll charge lower once I see el-cheepo weapons and armor for sale (5CPU instead of 100CPU) AKA when hell freazes over.

So have fun, wish you were on my server

Peace!
