Gone? LOL,

I have been a master weaponsmith for just about a year and I have had people coming back over and over again for weapons. I dont play SWG just to make alot of FAKE MONEY, I enjoy the crafting and the company in the world.

Bottom line is, I wanted to know what others that are shipwrights on other servers were charging and thanks to those that have replyed, with out flaming. and to those of you have flamed this post,

I've also been a weaponsmith for about a year. I hope you aren't selling your weapons at 1 cpu.

I tooenjoy crafting, but I would like to be compensated for my work (especially considering my work is pretty high quality). The way I see it, if I don't value my time, skill and work, then sure as hell no one else will either. Besides, where is it written that only combat-professions get tohave money?

Nor is making a pile a fake money my primary motivator. But in my view, that fake money is a tool that allows me to better enjoy my chosen profession, as well as other aspects of the game.

Best of luck to you in your business.

Point is... you bought it. Nobody forced you to. And most likely, with a tiny bit of searching, you'd have found it cheaper. Even directly contacting a SW, using the search feature, would have likely turned up a cheaper blaster.

I'd still like to know why the original poster is charging prices he'd never consider as a weaponsmith.

HI all,

I just mastered shipwright last night and I will not be rasing my price do to it. This has casued a good number of the other masters on my server to get, well, very P'ed off at me. My prices are as follows:

Novice ships 5k

Tier 1 25k

Tier 2 35k

Tier 3 65k

Tier 4 90k

Master 160k

Parts

Mark I 500c

Mark II 1k

Mark III 2k

Mark IV 3k

Mark V 5k

Now, In a pricing war, is it not fair to have a lower price then the other guy? No one is holding a gun to there head and saying "charge 15k for a Mark I blaster" oh, thats what one of them is charging for one and I can match there stats with in about 5%!

I guess you do not value your time at all, with the time to harvest the resources, make the enhancers, run them in the factory and then hand craft the parts, all for maybe 0.1cpu profit.

I love crafting always have but crafting just to craft and get basically nothing in return is a pointless exercise

I'm sure other shipwrights hate me. But I don't care. I make a good product and I don't charge a lot. I don't expect to be huge. I make enough profit to supply my harvesters with money, and my houses with maintenance. Plus a little spending cash when I get that bug. 95% of my resources come from my own harvesters or guild supplied lots. So I really don't have the overhead of some other SWs. I don't want to say I am in direct competition with them. Cuz I could honestly care less what they are charging. I charge what I think is fair, and keeps me in profits. I'm not in this for the money. Most of my ships go right to the guild. Occasionally I sell some off the vendors...enough to keep me with money.

I refer people to Bastilaa on Tempest all the time, because I know her and her team usually have plenty of stock.

I'm about 80k XP from master, and in no real hurry to get there. I don't want to burn myself out...I started SW the day JtL went live.

I'm one of the opposing Shipwrights but not the one RT is talking about.

My Mark I blasters are 1k each base level or upto 2k each with a choice of upgrades (depends on price of resources)

Stats on base level (no upgrade) (With exp spread even through Max/Min)(All great successes)

Your basic non special blaster, no awesome assembly, or upgrades

302.0-409.9 Min / Max Damage

0.484/0.484 Vs Shield / Vs Armor

17.4 refire

0.352 Energy/Shot

Not bad I think.

I can hit 458.4 max damage with upgrades

I can hit 105 max speed on the Mk V engines everyone loves (Don't know why, I prefer PYT to speed)

I buy my resources at 3-4 cpu with a few exceptions (12cpu for some nice radioactive etc)

My mark up is tiny (1k MKI blaster that uses 200 resources) and surely worth my time in crafting and spending endless hours travelling vendors to find the very best quality resources for my customers.

I hold great pride in my work and don't like to 'feel' like itsbeing undermined.

This is why I took offense to the prices.

I've since started making a nice turnover (Word spreads well for high level components)

I wish you well and hope you can find happiness in SW at those prices.

Lol...and I thought I sold stuff for low prices! Look man, there is absolutely NO WAY you can make a profit at those prices. If you want to waste your time selling stuff for piss and beans, go right ahead; I'm sure the server is gonna love you. But don't come cryin' back once you're broke from just trying to keep your harvestors maintained .

Well the onlt true way to bring the prices down on the servers & stop you Fat, Greedy Merchants from Owning the Game & becoming Lords & Kings while the rest of us struggle with the New Non-Solo Policy, is not to start pricing wars....

But rather go out & do what i have decided to do...

Make Mules twith the 2nd char slots & "teach these Fat Slugs who Charge 190k for a T21, or 900k for a Skill tape or 220k for a lvl 7 Ship component", a lesson.

If every Non-Crafter in the game sacrificed his 2nd slot for a Mule Crafter & made his own stuff, the Greed Mongers would Go under real fast!!

True the economy would die altogeather, but I could Really give a rats Bungger!!!

Merchants would have brought this on the game, not the poor buggers trying to survive the only way they can, now that the average player makes about 98% less cash then he did befor Soloing went out.

This don't mean i Condone Soloing, infact this was one of the worse things that could have happened to SWG, but the Merchants didn't need to take advantage of it & Make life soooo hard for players just starting out or those that didn't Solo & had little cash & were forced to Live as Peseants.

I will never again Pay 120k for a "Below Average T21 or 400k for a "Kimogila Chassy", or 170k for a box of "near average Brandy"...!!!

Between uo, - Myself, my Brother & 2 friends, we will cover all Master Crafting Proffessions, Share amongst ourselves & those we Know & trust...

I might even be seen on the odd occasion running round at starports of Farstar, giving away 100's of freedies just to piss of the crafters there..HEH!

And all i can say to the High Priced, Loser Merchants in the game is.......,

I Hope others follow my Path & Put you all down for good......"even if it means Killing off the Economy to do so"

NOW THATS A WAR FOR U!

If you have paid 120k for a T21 (sold them for 35k max when weaponsmith) and 220k for a level 7 ship component (sell them for 35k), you my friend are the worst shopper I have ever found. SHOP AROUND! Ask crafters when you see them online! Start harvestsing resources and sell them to us for 1 - 2 cpu, not 8 cpu and up! Or, go make a crafter and realize that you don't like it.

First of all, please stop assaulting those of us who enjoy the crafting and merchant game like you assault the english language. Many of us truly enjoy having a business, and I know many people who do not use the combat aspect of the game at all. They prefer the economic challenge, as it were. I do this with one of my charas, I enjoyed the game enough that I wanted to dabble in the crafting world, and so bought a second account. As time went on, I find myself using my "second" crafting character more than my "primary" combat character. I really enjoy putting out a good product, marketting it to the masses, selling it for a competitive price, paying the "lease" (maintenance on shop) and "paying the employees" (the vendors.) As an aside, I would love to make as much as my vendors do...

At any rate, in your greed and selfishness to stick it to the "Fat, Greedy Merchantsfrom Owning the Game & becoming Lords & Kings" you neglect to realize that those "Fat, Greedy Merchants" find the dynamic economy and crafting mechanism in the game rather fun, and that clowns such as yourself are ruining their game. I"m having fun trying to put out a good quality product at a reasonable price, not a dirt cheap price. Do you know what I DON'T find fun? Trying to hunt down an architect to make harvestors after people such as yourself and your ilk completely ruined that market, such that people have to go almost into a loss to have "reasonable prices."

If you open your eyes, you will realize that the prices you listed are absolutely outrageous to any self respecting crafter, I myself have never sold a T21 (non-krayt of course) for more than 25k, and I"m not alone in this!No one isgoing to reward yourlaziness in not wanting to go around shopping forbetter prices.Learn to shop around my friend, and you will find prices more amenable to your needs, instead of ruining the game for so many others. The game is losing enough people as it is, don't force more out.

To the original poster: Those prices are rather obscene, to be quite honest. Please refer to my reasoning with this other gentleman and reconsider thesehorrid prices.
