hmmm for the most part loot was better quality than player crafter stuff... so especially at low levels (for hyperspace) you can get just fine by just buying the chasis... (unless they totally nerfed that for release)

I am pricing chassis at 12-15CPU currently since I am using resources that sell at that price.
And that is exactly what everybody forgets. I don't need to sell ships if people won't buy them for the resource price I'll just sell them as resource. Of course exceptions will be made for friends and guildmembers. but in general for a high end ship build from high end resources 10-15 cpu sounds right to me. Not forgetting that I have to handcraft every single item.
Ps. I'm in Europe so have to wait a bit for my Ithorian shipwright character

here is MY price list for flight computors ( On Bloodfin )
V1 = 1k, V2 = 2k, V3 = 3k, V4 = 4k, V5 = 5k V6 = 6k...
and an advanced fully loaded R-3 with lets say 10 item storage, level 6 data, 110 med, food chem, general, and ship stations.. 4470 ham, armored = 75k...

Here's what Ill be selling my chassis for: Nov: 5cpufor 25k
Tier 1: 5cpufor 75k
Tier 2: 6cpu for 180k
Tier 3: 6cpu for 360k
Tier 4: 7cpu for 560k
Master: Not sure yet, most likely around 8-10cpu
How does this compare to others....
Why would your resources be worth less in a Novice ship than a master ship? that makes no sense to me. Your resources cost you so much, period. I look at it, as if I had to buy the resources, what would I pay right now for them. The reason I do this is because if I sold my resources instead, I would make X amount of money.

Tier 1 Ships 2cpu so a ship that requires 15k will be sold for 30K
Tier 2 Ships 3cpu so a ship that requires 15k will be sold for 45K
After that you are on your own. It will take Pilots at least two days to become masters. So the demand for Tier 3 and higher will come into play on Saturday when most players will have time to grind a Master Pilot profession. At that point we should allow market forces to set the price.

Initially everyone will be grinding for Master Ship Wright. I know I will. So I propose the following.

Tier 2 Ships 3cpu so a ship that requires 15k will be sold for 45K

that is a bit on the extreme, but speaking as a DE, here's our problem with droids in general - once a pilot buys that v6 comp, they will never need to buy one again. ppl will pay 200k+ for armor that wears out, for weapons etc, aDoc can make millions with a droid that will never wear out. But we get a one-time sale and thats it. Ive resigned myself to the fact that my droid supplies will be stocked as a convienience to my customers of my shipwright products. to take an extreme example, say a DE item costs 500c to make. sure i can charge 1k and make a profit, but making and selling that item for a 500c profit is a complete and utter waste of my time. with the time and effort i would spend to create a schem, drop it in the factory, and then pick it up and drop it in the vendor(not including the actual factory run time), i could make 100k on dantooine with combat missions vs the few k of profit i might make off those flight comps. Probably not even enough to cover the maint and power costs of the factory, and no payment for my time. But that 1-2k flight comp on the other hand will help a pilot on many missions. Ive spent many months as a master DE, and theres very little money in it. DE's were very excited to think that they had an important role in something, and that they might finally have some valuable recurring business, but its turning out to be somewhat of a disappointment.
